Windows 7 (32-bit) and The Table
We are still in the process of testing Windows 7.
We have not been able to get it to function to our standards, and the cause of the problem seems
to be beyond our control.
If you have Windows 7 64-bit please go here: 64-bit Windows
- Church Age Book and Bible audio does not play, because the DSP drivers are missing from Windows 7.
Workaround: Download the Truespeech DSP drivers to your desktop, and then install them. The Bible and Exposition audio will play after you reboot your computer.
You can get the drivers here: TrueSpeech Drivers
-
Problems with the player freezing when playing long tapes, or multiple tapes in a row.
Workaround: Reboot machine as needed, or use iTunes or Media player to play the audio.
Details: The audio player will "lock-up" while playing a sermon and require a reboot of your
computer. This will happen sometime between 5 and 17 hours of play time. 64 bit Windows actually
seems to run better than the 32 bit version, but we have not been able to get the Audio Player to
function flawlessly in either Version. The problem seems to be in a subsystem we cannot fix.
Note: Testing with running the Table with Windows 7 Pro in special virtual "XP Mode" has
been successful so far, and has not crashed on us yet. This mode is only available on Windows
Professional or Ultimate and only works on certain machines with Intel VT or AMD-V hardware
virtualization technology enabled in the PC BIOS. If you choose this option, please check
carefully with your vendor that XP mode will work on your hardware. This mode is not available
on most consumer grade machines. This will not work with Windows 7 Home Premium.
We recommend that you hold off purchasing Windows 7 until further notice from us.
We are working on the problems, and as we know more we will post this information on our web site.
