The serpent’s objective was to get Eve to disbelieve just one word. She accepted his reasoning for a moment, and her doubt exploded into sin, death, and destruction.

That old serpent’s approach in the Garden of Eden has been successful for 6,000 years, and he’s become a master at planting the seed of doubt. He learned a long time ago that he didn’t need to tackle the entire Bible; all he needs to do is get his victim to disbelieve one word. Then doubt has an open door to spread from Genesis to Revelation. True to form, he’s doing the same thing with the Gospel today.
