Indonesia Outreach

Brother Martinus, VGR Indonesia office manger, sends us a recent report on an outreach to the northern end of Sumatra, in a region known as Aceh. This region of Sumatra is thought to have been the place where the spread of Islam began in Indonesia, and was a key factor of the spread of Islam in Southeast Asia after arriving the area in the 13th century. Nine Christian churches were burned down just a week prior to the team’s arrival, so the brothers were going right into the middle of harm’s way. These brothers, and many others like them, depend on your prayers as they risk their lives to spread the Gospel in dangerous areas of the world.

Here is the team’s report of their recent outreach to a denominational church that is seeing the Light of the hour.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Greetings in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ,

With the Lord leading us, we traveled to a small city in remote area of Southeast Aceh. Myself and Brother Devlen traveled by plane on Sunday evening after service at 6:45 pm and arrived in Aceh at 9:30 pm.

On Monday morning, we countinued our trip to a small village in Southeast Aceh, about 12 hours from Medan. Brothers and Sisters, there are nine churches that have been burned by Moslims a week before our arrival, and the location of our outreach was in a small village in the mountains with deep ravines on both sides.

We arrived there after a full day of travel, and the church had a place where we could stay. This place is a remote village that is on top of the mountain, and if we wanted to shower, we had to walk to the pool as far as two kilometers.

On Tuesday morning, we began to speak with 50 people who came to the church at 9.00 am to 01.00 pm (first service). Before watching the DVD “Deep Calleth to the Deep,” I spoke a little time to introduce the Message to the people. After lunch we began the fellowship again at 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (second service). We heard the MP3 player “How the Angel Came To Me” together again. I introduced that God sent the messenger in this day. As God sent Noah in his day, so God sent a prophet at this time, Oh hallelujah! And God touched the people there. God worked and touched them so all of people were very happy to see the DVD and hear the Voice of the Seventh Angel. Hallelujah! God worked to opened their eyes to see His Light in the “Evening Time.”

On the last day, Friday morning at 07:30 am, we went back home to Jakarta. God had opened the doors. Praise the Lord! We know God is working and is moving in this end time.

Please pray for Indonesia.

God bless you all,

Bro. Martinus
