A Quick Work Part 2

Here is the second part of yesterday's post about our recent missionary trip to Papua New Guinea.

On Sunday morning, our special guest speaker arrived. We rejoiced as Brother Branham’s voice rang out from the pulpit, revealing the cure for “Spiritual Amnesia.” Our hearts were thrilled to know that we are truly living in the days of the Voice. Praise God, He has given us an ear to hear. It was a powerful demonstration of the Holy Spirit in action as God’s vindicated messenger imparted words of Eternal Life to us.

The time had arrived for the distribution of the Life-giving Manna. In a true display of brotherly love, the pastors pulled together to ensure the materials were distributed fairly among the believers. It brought tears to my eyes to see how desperate the brothers and sisters were to receive the few materials. I long for the day when the first crate shipment reaches the port City of Lae.

It was time to bid farewell. The saints gathered together at the PMV bus terminal waiting for a coaster bus ride back to their highland homes.

Highlands Highway - road slip

The Highlands Highway is the main highway in PNG, and for most of its length the highway is no more than a two-lane road hampered by potholes and land slips. It is also notorious, particularly in the Highlands region, for armed hold-ups and robberies. I was amazed when one brother told how the bus journey home was over 10 hours. I prayed for them and rested in the assurance that He always takes care of His own.

After the saints had departed, I thought of the meetings we had in Lae and thanked God that He had come down in a mighty way. God took control of the gathering, revealing His Power to confirm that He is always with us.

Port Moresby

The Airlines of PNG ATR turboprop accelerated rapidly as it taxied down the runway heading to Port Moresby. I was smiling and enjoying the air safety announcement in Pidgin. I thought a few more days in PNG and I may almost start to understand...what a great language!

The welcome at Port Moresby Airport was wonderful, the pastors greeted me with open arms and thanked Brother Joseph for the materials VGR had sent over the past few years. It’s always exciting when you first see a believer you have corresponded with over the years and then meet them face to face. It is good fun to finally match up each face with the picture in your mind. Imagine how wonderful it will be when we all get to Heaven and meet the saints of old. What a day of rejoicing that will be!

The brothers in Port Moresby were an inspiration as they told of their burden for the outreach. They loved the potential of themessage.com tracts and website. I was truly blessed by their personal testimonies and the stand that they made for the WORD of God today. I felt a real bond of love and felt a pull to work closer with the brothers to shoulder the burden together.

We thank Brother Joseph for the love that he has for this Message and God’s people around the world, and also the believers around the world who make such sacrfices to make a trip like this possible. It was hard to leave, but I was happy as I knew in my heart that God was moving in Papua New Guinea.

With renewed vigor the brothers reaffirmed the responsibility that God had placed on their shoulders to keep the Voice of Malachi 4 alive in PNG today. To stand with God against all odds, realizing "if we are borned again of the Spirit of God... God don't have little weak parts and big strong parts; He's altogether God! And if you had enough of God in you, till it was just barely a shadow, that's enough power to make a new earth. That's enough power to make a new moon and a new system. It's God, and it's strong." The brothers were on fire. With that kind of power, ALL things are possible for PNG.
