Abraham’s Seed

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong, knowing that he had received him as one from the dead; fully persuaded that if God said so, for him to do it, He could raise him up from the dead." That's Abraham, and that's his Seed after him. If that was the natural seed, what ought the royal Seed to be? Not staggering! What God says, God will do. Knowing that, he was fully persuaded; that what God had promised, God was able to do.

This sister struggled with acne and being a bit bashful, but like Abraham, she called "those things which be not as though they were" and it certainly made an impression. She had no problems standing for what she believed.

I would describe myself as a socially awkward person. I do my best, but I even turn red meeting people I know sometimes. Sadly, I don't like it, but I can't help it. But the Lord Jesus came on the scene for me.

I was attending a seminar in January for my job. I was in a crowded room, full of people, standing in a line. A woman I'm acquainted with came passing by me, so I smiled and said hello. Immediately after she greeted me, she looked and said, "What is going on with your face?" You see, I had the biggest case of lying vanities that day. All I could say was, "I know God has healed me." She ignored that. "Is it Rosacea?" I said, "I don't know…but..." She cut in, "Are you going to see a dermatologist?"

Each time I would start to say something about the Lord, she would just run over top of me with questions. Then something happened. It wasn't me, it was the Lord Jesus. I said, "I went to the Great Physician." She must have not heard or ignored the "great" part because she was very interested then. "Oh and what did he say?" I said, "By His stripes I am healed!" The strangest look passed over her face, she patted my arm and walked away.

Praise God, dear brothers and sisters, that wasn't me. He came on the scene for me and gave me that final punch! (I pray for that dear woman - she just doesn’t know what I have!)

Later, I passed her and her friend in the lunch line. They gave a weird glance at me and at each other, and turned their backs. But you know what, I was happy all day long! I didn't cower or duck my head all day. Normally the devil would have beat on me, saying, "See, see. everyone's sees what you have." But not that day.

I Am a Royal Seed of Abraham, by His Grace, fainting not at the promise of God. To Him be all honour and glory.

God bless,

Sister Christina
