Jeffersonville Homeschool

The following is a report from the local homeschool group here in Jeffersonville about their latest project.

The local YF homeschool youth celebrated a special day at Study Hall this month: Brother Branham’s birthday!

It was a great occasion to be able to celebrate the birth of the Seventh Angel Messenger and reflect on his life! The students started the day with devotions centered on Brother Branham before working hard on their homeschool curriculums.

The celebrations started at lunch with a surprise visit from Happy and Gramps! (Young Foundations puppets) They reflected on different events from Brother Branham’s life and asked the children what they would have liked to see if they could travel back in time. The answers were all so sweet with the maniac being mentioned, the Pillar of Fire, as well as other events like visiting Schimpffs with the prophet.

Questions that are important to kids like “can you tie your shoes” and “do you know how to ride a bike,” were graciously answered by Happy and Gramps. It was a lot of fun!

Pizza and ice cream cake were served to the celebratory crowd before they settled down to watch the video of “The Prophet’s Hometown.” After the video, the children were surprised to see Brother Will (song leader), and a fun session of good old campfire singing began. Youthful voices rang out loud and action songs like “Father Abraham” and “I’m in the Lord’s Army” made it tons of fun.

The children spent the rest of the afternoon playing in the gym, answering some Brother Branham trivia questions for candy, and making a booklet called “Where in Kentucky are you from?”, before being dismissed home.

At Creations earlier in the week, they had made a special gift to present to their mothers. The children wrote cards to their moms, thanking them for teaching them about Brother Branham. It was a great end to a perfect day.

How thankful we are to know the prophet and to have the Message revealed to us!
