Nothing To Fear

Saturday evening, April 16th, a 7.8 earthquake struck the coast of Ecuador, killing more than 500 people and injuring close to 5,000. Tremors could be felt as far away as Colombia, and tsunami warnings were issued to Fiji, more than 7,000 miles away. It was the largest earthquake in that country since 1979.

We have been in contact with our distributor in Guayaquil, and he has been informing us about the well-being of the believers. Right now, we know of a mother and her two daughters who lost their lives during the quake. Please remember this family in your prayers.

Knowing the danger of a large earthquake like the one that struck Ecuador, put yourself in the position of one of these believers. How would you respond as the situation becomes desperate? Would you panic, or would you grab hold of the hand of Jesus Christ and put your trust in Him?

This video was taken during the song service of a local Message church as the earthquake struck. Notice how the believers continued to worship, even after the lights went out. As you will see in the video, the Bride of Christ has NOTHING TO FEAR!

The world's a trembling. “There'll be fearful signs,” You said in the last days, sights. “Signs in the heaven and in the earth; fire and vapor and pillars of smoke, earthquakes in divers places, perplexity of time, distress between nations; man's heart failing for fear.” But that time, Lord, You said, “Lift up your head, your redemption's drawing nigh.”

This video is the moment the earthquake hit on Saturday night at the Message church, “Star of Tomorrow" in Santo Domingo, Ecuador. Brother Francisco Jimenez, along with the congregation, continued singing with plenty of faith and strength, even when the electric was cut off and the intensity of the earthquake grew in power. We are happy to report that no one suffered injury, nor was the building damaged severely.

We received this statement from a local brother in the congregation, “This is what produces faith in this glorious Message.”
