Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

This sister put this scripture into action and held to the Faith that overcomes the enemy’s lies every time.

I have just had a great experience with my Lord and desire to share His goodness. On Friday of last week, I decided to take a hike as I often do. The trail is about 3/4 mile. As I was walking I pulled my glasses off as the sun was so bright, and I placed them in my coat pocket. When I got home my glasses were missing. Being tired as I was, I decided to wait until the next day to go look for them. I took a direct route and had sat down a few minutes on the trail, and I told myself they would be there where I sat down, probably falling from my pocket.

On Saturday I went to get them, and no glasses to be found. I walked the trail twice, knowing they had to be there. As anyone knows the expense of glasses, I began to worry. On Sunday, my husband and I both went back to look. No glasses. We prayed about it, and I called the "prayer request" line and asked (for prayer) to find them. This was the end of the second day and the devil was really pounding me, even waking me at night, telling me, "It won't happen, might as well give up, buy another pair, the way of a transgressor is hard," just all kinds of thoughts.

I continued to take my walks each day and praying all the while for my glasses. There were weeds and dead grasses all around, but I kept saying the sun would make them shiny and easy to see, but still no glasses. This went on for seven days. On Thursday the seventh day, I again took my walk, praying and trying to drown out the devil's lies. Then the Lord gave me a song, “He's All I Need.” So I amble along singing, “He's All I Need.” I'm on the trail and almost back home, and my eyes fell to the ground, of which I had covered EIGHT or NINE times. There lay my glasses beside the trail.

You guessed it: I had a jubilee, and when I got home my husband had a jubilee.

As always, God was there listening all the time, and His grace to show His care and love once again to an unworthy person. I thank Him and love Him, and this encouraging message over and over again.
