Doubt Your Doubts

This testimony will make you smile all the way through.

This testimony is long past due and I feel I am lacking on sharing what the Lord has done for me. He continues to show He loves me every day. He even helps me with things that are simple and helps me in taking care of things that aren’t my own.

All my life I’ve had a fish or a hamster, but mostly fish. My husband had wanted a fish, so we went and bought one. I was cleaning the fish’s bowl one day, and when doing this I usually just reach in my hands to grab the fish. God shows how awesome He is to me by letting me handle the fish. I go to grab them, and they go straight to my hand and go limp as I transfer them from the tank to the temporary bowl.

Well, this time I thought I would use the fish net because I hadn’t been using it. On a side note, when God provides a way, there are no substitutions or taking a different route, ever!

I had grabbed the fish net and began to reach for the fish. That did not go to well. The fish decided to jump, and it jumped out of the net and into the sink. Now, with my not so cat-like reflexes, I dropped the fish net into the sink and tried to grabbed the fish, which slammed the fish into the sink. I felt a crunch between the palm of my hand and the sink. I gasped as I moved my hand away to see the fish drop to the bottom of the sink, bent at a 90-degree angle. It was literally looking like a corner of a square!

My heart was racing as I took a deep breath to grab the fish and put it back into the water that I had prepared while cleaning the bowl. I put it into the bowl and thought, “Lord, I messed up, what do I do?”

So I dropped to my knees and explained that I believe He will help me with this situation, even though the fish’s belly was turning red, indicating he was damaged from the inside, along with the 90-degree angle, and now floating belly-side up, with bubbles coming out of its mouth.

I finished talking with the Great Physician, and finished cleaning the fish tank. At this point I thought about all that was happening and began to cry. I then took a deep breath and looked over at the fish; GLORY TO GOD! The fish was now at the top, not belly up. It was still a little bent, but it was swimming! I was so excited and I thanked the Lord and sang a song to the fish as I transferred it back to its tank. I cleaned up everything and when my husband got home from work, I told him about what had happened. I showed him the the dot that was there from his internal bleeding and he was slightly bent to the side, so he could see the healing as well.

I am happy to announce that within that hour, the little fish was completely healed. No bleeding, no bending, no spot where the blood was on his belly. Everything was restored just how he was before.

As I think on it brothers and sisters, don’t look on the symptoms no matter how bad it looks. Don’t listen to the doubt, I just doubt the doubt that arises. Hold onto His Word. He said ask! Ask! Cry! And you won't be disappointed.
