The Way Of A Transgressor

This brother from Guyana gives us a stern warning of what can happen if we give in to the temptations of the enemy. He shows us that the way of a transgressor is hard, and although the enemy makes it look like the easier way, his ultimate goal is our destruction. May his mistakes be stepping stones to any wayward child of God who is reading this article.

I wish to share this testimony in the hopes that others who may be facing the struggle I fought may be warned not to take the path I took.

I once was going through some very difficult times and was tempted by the devil to curse God’s grace, thinking that it would be better and easier for me if I were no longer a Christian and became part of the world. I regret to say that I succumbed to the temptation, and as the scripture in James says, temptations lead to sin which leads to death.

I now seriously regret having said what I said because the path of an unbeliever has been extremely hard.

I now look at the ones I love and curse them, despite my best efforts and constant prayers not to. I hope that this can help someone. It is a lie to believe that the life of an unbeliever is easier and better than that of a believer. It is a lie to believe that you can go out into the world, and God will bring you back continually. Eventually there will come a time when you will spurn God’s mercy for the last time, and I can testify that the path thereafter is filled with torment and misery.

Our dear brother, if you are reading this article, then be encouraged. Here is what the prophet said,

You have not sinned, my friend, so far in God but what you could be restored. If you had sinned so far that you could not be restored, you'd never want to be restored. See, see? But as long as there is Something dealing with your heart, you're still in line of restoration.
