The Little Things

We received the following testimony from a family that would like to share how our gracious Lord Jesus takes care of every little thing.

Greetings to my brothers and sisters in the lovely name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I would like to share a testimony of what the Lord has so graciously done for my husband and myself.

We have been following the tape services in our home along with the Branham Tabernacle weekly. We were so excited when we heard that Brother Joseph announced that the Branham Tabernacle would be having Communion services along with the last Jubilee tape titled, "Communion."

We made our plans and were quickly on our way to Jeffersonville. While we were in services that evening, my husband nudged me and showed me his ring finger and I noticed that his wedding ring was gone, my heart sunk. We traveled to Jeffersonville from Texas and stayed in a nearby hotel. We were busy that morning gathering our things from the hotel to get ready to head back home after the services that Sunday evening. My husband had also stopped for some coffee and ran a few errands that morning before picking up our 8-year-old son, Myles, and myself from the hotel to leave for Communion that evening and then on the road home.

After the services we headed home and first talked about the wonderful services that evening and later we pondered where his ring could be. He has recently lost some weight upon his doctor’s advice for a slightly elevated cholesterol and the weather was cold that morning. So with the combination of these two things his ring slipped off his finger without him realizing it. When we got home we checked our luggage, and looked everywhere in my vehicle for it and it was nowhere to be found. I then called the hotel, the restaurant he had coffee at, and one of the places where he ran an errand that morning. None of them had any information about a lost ring being found. I was very disappointed and knew that there was very little that I could do being so far away from Jeffersonville. I had all kinds of thoughts cross my mind of where his ring could be.

This took place in mid-December, 2015. Since then we have made about 4-5 trips to Jeffersonville to be a part of the services, personal reasons, and to fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. The trips we have taken have resulted in luggage being loaded and unloaded along with miscellaneous items to take with us. I am also a very busy mother with running errands at home and everything getting piled in the back of my truck. My husband works very hard to provide for us, and so I try really hard to keep my truck clean that he bought for me.

Our son Myles and myself take my truck to the car wash about once every week or two and clean it out and vacuum it real good to keep the carpets clean. We have also had a record-breaking spring with the amount of rain we have received in this part of Texas, and so I have kept a couple of umbrellas handy underneath the back row seats that you can get to by lifting the hatch of the back of my truck. This area also gets vacuumed occasionally.

I kept wondering where my husband’s ring could be and I wondered in my heart why The Lord allowed it to happen. While I was driving home one day recently I was thinking on my husband’s ring and I just said in my heart “Lord, for some reason it has pleased you for my husband to lose his ring, you have a purpose for this.” With that, I just let it go and just ignored all the thoughts the enemy was putting in my head of where his ring could be. I had thoughts of somebody hawking his ring at a pawnshop or possibly keeping it, or it laying by the side of the road never to be found.

About mid-June 2016, we were in a hurry and getting ready to go out of town to Houston on business and we were expecting rain again, and my husband asked me to go out to my truck and make sure we had an umbrella. I lifted the back hatch, which I have done countless times since December, and I reached under to grab the umbrella which I have also done numerous times, including looking under the seat to find the umbrella if I didn't see it at first glance, and when I looked under the seat to get the umbrella, there was my husband’s wedding ring!

I had to look at it twice to make sure I was actually seeing his ring! I was so excited and overjoyed! I ran in the house and I told my husband, "Can you please come here, I really need you." He looked at me funny because we were in a hurry, and I lead him to the back seat of the truck. I said, "Do you believe in miracles?" I knew what his answer would be, but I was trying to prepare him for what he was about to see. He looked at me with a very odd look like, what kind of question is that? We’re believers and tapes listeners of Malachi 4! He said, "Of course I do." I pointed for him to look for the umbrella and he saw his ring!

We stood there rejoicing and thanking the Lord for His Grace and Mercy to us and for allowing us to have my husband’s wedding ring back!

God is so good and I'm so thankful for these things that He does just to show His love and that He is truly alive and right here with us, leading, guiding and getting us ready to go home very soon.

God bless you,

Brother Lesley and Sister Bridget
