Rallying To The Word

The Malawi team is at again! They took advantage of a large crowd at a soccer match, brought their own baptismal, and then did what they do best: introduce God's prophet. The following is a report from Brother Saidi, VGR office manager in Malawi, summarizing a weekend outreach where 83 souls gave their hearts to the Lord Jesus. What is the rallying cry? The Voice of God to this generation!

I wish to report that Saturday and Sunday were good days for the tape outreach team.

We started off on Saturday in the Thyolo District. The central town was abuzz with activity. A soccer match was taking place in parallel with other activities, yet a sizeable audience was attracted to the Voice of God coming through the speakers.

It is summer in Malawi and water is scarce. It is for that reason that we had decided to carry with us the mobile baptistery and we set it up at the nearest church where a water source was available. That fit in so nicely; we were able to baptize 17 people that had surrendered their lives and were baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Come Sunday, the team moved on to Chilimba, a densely populated area, yet with a small Message church. As soon as we assembled our equipment, we knew we were standing on a different ground. The people started flocking in large numbers attracted by the sound of the music. This was at a Government Primary School grounds, and again, we carried our mobile baptistery with us, and we were allowed to use the institution water at a small fee.

When the tape was introduced, people listened with undivided attention. Not surprising that 66 people surrendered their lives and were baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your prayers.
