The Lord Leads Children Too!

This family has a praise report we can all smile and rejoice in it with them. When their vehicle was stolen, the family turned to prayer with the saints, and the answer came in the most unlikely way.

It was a Wednesday night, and we had come home from church and had gone to bed. My son, however, must have had some trouble going straight to sleep, and around midnight he noticed car lights on his ceiling, (he has the upstairs, front window, facing the drive and street).

So he looked outside just in time to see my husband’s truck pulling out of the drive and heading down the street. We immediately called the sheriff’s department, and they came and took all the information. The next morning my husband went to work with my daughter's truck, and then she and I went to do some work for a friend who was out of town. All of us were kind of in shock that this would happen to us, and thinking we would have to buy a new vehicle. We also sent out prayer request through a brother who has group texting to our church family just for that purpose.

Meanwhile, across town at my daughter’s house, my two-year old granddaughter was being very persistent in her desire to go outside. Her mom kept putting her off, telling her she could go out later, but Lillian kept taking her shoes to her and insisting on going outside. So giving in, my daughter-in-law took her out the door just as my husband’s truck drove by in front of her house! She immediately called 911, and the person turned into a drive only to pull back out and drive back by. So while still on the phone she thought it is gone again, only to look up again and see it come back down and pull into same driveway and park! And it was just a couple of minutes before a police car came down the street and we got the truck back, not even 12 hours later! It had a little scratch on the front bumper where the guy had bumped something, but nothing else, not even the expensive tool that was in it was gone. More importantly, my husband’s badge that he had to have to work was still there, along with the title to the truck that we had forgotten to take out of glove box.

We could have very easily lost the truck for good. So many vehicles get stolen and wrecked or sold for parts. We live on the edge of Hot Springs AR, and it could have been in the neighboring states of Oklahoma or Texas before morning had even come! Needless to say, we are very thankful God allowed it to be returned to us, and it is a great testimony for us to share. God does answer prayers even for material needs, and He does work through children!

Praise the Lord for all things he has done for us!
