Testimony From India

Brother Branham often spoke fondly of his friends, Brother and Sister Kidd.

Down at the tabernacle at home, there's little old couple by the name of Kidd, comes down there from Ohio. Now, they're both in, well in there, eighty-five or eighty-eight. And they're so old until they can't go into churches much more, because their... They haven't got enough voice. But you know what they do? About every tape... This little old woman saved her money and bought a tape recorder. And so she gets a tape. I send her tapes. And she'll take these tapes, and she'll go at the hospitals, everywhere that she can put this tape recorder, her and her little old husband, playing them tapes. And then I'll send her a big roll of--of prayer cloths that I've prayed over. 63-0119 The Way Of A True Prophet

There are people in India following this lead and doing the same thing as Brother and Sister Kidd. The following is a testimony about some brothers and sisters who have the same burden for sick souls in India. Both testimonies were received from Brother Joel Paramanadam, VGR Office Manager in Madras.

This week was a week of prayer and distribution of Message books at two different hospitals, 400 km away from Madras, at a city called Madurai. The patients were many poor woman folks with various diseases lying on the floor in the hospital, where there was very poor sanitary conditions. We waded through sick people in the midst of the stench, distributing the books and tracts. The poor people were very enthused seeing us distributing the Messages and requested prayer individually. It looked like a prayer meeting amongst Hindus and other religions. A couple of miracles took place, and nearly 200 Message books were distributed. Two infants were prayed for who had skull injuries at the time of birth, and another five-year old boy who had polio. Kindly remember these poor, downtrodden sickly people in your prayers.

A separate report:

Sister Mala and Sister Jessie went to spread the glorious Gospel to the sick and needy this week. The first leg of their stop was a general hospital containing 2,000 sickly patients with various diseases and afflictions. They, with the permission of the hospital authorities, went inside the wards distributing the tracts and Message books. They were welcomed by the nurses and the patients with joy and gladness. A couple of the female nurses invited them for the prayer meeting, which is conducted every Friday evening.

Matt 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
