On Saturday Brother Vargas, and his wife took me to a place called "Lake
Rosario," far from Esquel, more than 60 km on a gravel road. We arrived to the
place after noon. We visited the home of a believer of the Message named Segundo, his wife's name is Elba, who had recently been operated on for cancer,
the rapidity in which the sister was healed of her wounds being miraculous, to
the surprise of the doctors. This humble home is the place where these two
people raised their children, in midst of very hard winters, abandoned even by
the government, and only sustained by the hand of God. Today they care for their
grandchildren and on occasions, that their work permits them, go on the road of
more than 60 km to visit the church of the Message in Esquel. Brother Segundo was delivered by the Lord from a grave addiction of alcoholism, which kept
him on occasions drunk for months without returning home. Today all that is in
the past. God has made of this man, a man free from alcoholism.

In that same place of "Lake Rosario," is found another elderly couple,
sustained by time in the hard daily battle by earning a bite of bread in the
cold of the winter. Perhaps, surely, with the only reason of being possessors of
a very great Treasure, some few Words of the Gospel, received by a heart needy
of God and by a pastor of more than 67 years of age, Brother Guillermo Vargas.
This couple of gold, Brother Franco and his wife Dorila, say they do not
remember when it was that they got married. What Brother Franco does not forget
was the day that he arrived to Esquel, very sick, close to death, and could not
eat and was standing only by a miracle. That day the brother, before stepping
into the Hospital of Esquel, visited the church of the Message in Esquel. There
the prayer of faith of the faithful brought the Lord on the scene and health
returned to this insignificant peasant, keeper of sheep and goats, and with a
noble heart, has his arm open to receive the visit of a brother, in his humble
home in the mountains. When I saw this man, I remembered his dad, by the form of
his hair, the color of his skin, his form of expressing himself and the dignity
with which he directed himself.
The sun was going down when we began the trip back. When we arrived to
Esquel, the wife of Brother Vargas prepared the supper, and now late, when we
had ended the meal, the sister commented to me, the teaching of men who told her
that she was not saved, and there was no possibility of salvation for her. The
sister cried while she told this. She expressed moments of anguish that she
lived and how she wanted to die, while she was trying to find God in her
prayers. She stopped reading the Message, lived moments of pain and sadness,
until one day, God showed her, by the message Countdown, that William Branham
was His prophet. Although she still did not understand where she could find her
salvation, she decided to continue in the Message.
I took a long time explaining that salvation is one thing that a
minister cannot question. There is a price paid for our salvation, the sacrifice
on the Cross of Calvary. It was not in vain. God made the deposit, then I accept
it, and it is the end of all question. I believe in my Savior Jesus Christ. This
payment is so great, so great, that the Bible says: "Believe in the Lord Jesus
Christ and you will be saved, you and your house." They can say that I am this,
that I am that, and they can bring to remembrance my past thousand of
things...but...I am a repented sinner, recognizing that I am nothing and that
only one thing can correct, change, and restore my condition, and that is the
shed blood of a spotless Lamb, without defect, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
No one can take it away. The sister found comfort again.

On Sunday, in the morning, we had the last meeting in the church. I did not
have a TV to show the videos, so I used a player that I had brought on the trip
to show the video, "The Prophet’s Hometown." It was of much blessing to those
present. I also spoke about the work that VGR is carrying out and the importance
of counting on the correct translation to avoid confusion. It is very important
to read and to hear the Voice of the Sign that is in the messages and on the
tapes, translated correctly. That is the work of VGR, to provide only the
Message and not something else.
The brethren were very grateful. They send special thanks and recognition for
the work of our brethren in USA.
