The Magi

Matt 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Matt 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Numbers 24:17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

Daniel 2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

Daniel 4:34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

Daniel 6:26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Almost every child knows the story of the wisemen and their journey to see the young Messiah, but very few know that a prophet by the name of Daniel was once the chief of the Magi. Hundreds of years after Daniel, the Magi were reading his scrolls when they noticed a new star on the horizon. They knew the Scriptures well, and this star would lead them to the King Whose Kingdom would have no end.

They took three gifts from their treasure chest with them to present to the young King. Each of these gifts symbolized very important parts of His life.

Brother Branham takes us with the wisemen as they cross the eastern mountains, down the western slopes, and along the Tigris River to Babylon. They crossed the Euphrates and continued to travel by night to escape the heat of the day. Finally, they reached Jerusalem, where the star disappeared for a very important reason. In that city, they went to the king and quoted the prophet Micah, to tell him where Christ would be born. Later, their journey continued as the star reappeared over the little town of Bethlehem.
