The Catch The Vision team recently visited a number of churches throughout Mexico (more about that trip at a later date). A young pastor named Jorge Paez graciously donated his time and the use of his vehicle to drive us throughout southern Mexico. During the drive, he gave an astounding testimony of a relative who was healed of his sickness, and more importantly, his family was baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We recorded the testimony as we were driving through the mountains of southern Mexico. The testimony is about 20 minutes long.
Brother Jorge describes his trip to visit his mother’s family near Oaxaca. He first visited his great uncle. There is no electricity in his uncle’s house, so Brother Jorge brought a rechargeable tape player and a few of Brother Branham’s tapes as a gift to his uncle. This was the first time they had seen anything resembling a tape player.
The old man’s grandchildren were present, and Brother Jorge took the opportunity to witness to them about the Message of the hour. He then made the wise move of putting one of the unbelieving grandsons in charge of keeping his grandfather’s tape player charged. The young man, not wanting to miss out on the blessings his grandfather was about to receive, said, “I want to hear the tape too.” They listened to a portion of the sermon, “Be Certain Of God,” and then left the player and material with the now very excited family.
On the road back, Brother Jorge’s mother asked to visit her brother-in-law, who was dying of cancer. They knocked at the door, and a weak voice answered for them to come in. The man was laying on the bed, unable to move. The family soon returned from their day’s work, and Brother Jorge took the opportunity to testify to them about the Message of the hour. The children were worried about their grandfather, who they knew as their father because he had raised them since they were young children. Brother Jorge then asked the children a very important question: “Do you want your father to be healed?” The wife and children answered, “Yes.” The Holy Ghost came into the room, and they all began weeping with hope that their father may recover from his deadly disease. They asked each other for forgiveness of their past sins, and asked their father to forgive them for their failures as his children.
Brother Jorge then played the tape, “The Church And It’s Condition.” Afterwards, he asked if any of them were interested in being baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The three young people raised their hands. Brother Jorge promised to return the next day to baptize them.
When he returned the next morning, to the surprise of all, Brother Jorge’s uncle was standing up and waiting for their arrival. He testified that he was feeling much better and wanted to witness his children baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. Both families piled into Brother Jorge’s car and went in search of water.
They finally found a public swimming pool, where, in front of a multitude of unbelievers, the young people were baptized.
