They Are Life

63the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

John 6:63

Every day I go to the branham.org website to listen to the Quote Of The Day. I try to do that before anything when I get up in the morning. If a testimony title catches my eye I will read it immediately, but most of the time I read the testimonies weekly after there are a few to read. Every time I read them they fill my heart, and I tell myself I wish I had a great testimony to tell just like all these other believers. The testimonies always let me know how blessed and honored I am to be a part of the Bride!

Today I read "Childlike Faith" and I remembered a very similar miracle that happened almost 20 years ago when my four children (and a fifth on the way) were so young.

We had a dog named Tasha that was about to have puppies any day. It was a January night, and it was very cold and windy, probably 25-30 degrees. Every night before bed, I would put Tasha out for a few minutes then put her back in her crate for the night. On this particular night, I put Tasha out, but then I laid down to rest and fell asleep for the night.

At about 5:00am I woke up to the daddy dog howling like I've never heard. Then I realized that I had forgotten to bring Tasha in that night. I went running downstairs to check on her. I looked outside to find that she had her puppies in the freezing cold, and they were laying all over the backyard.

I yelled for my husband and my brother in law that was there at the time to come help me. We gathered up all the puppies. There were six frozen puppies on the lawn and one dead in the crate. I was so upset that my crying woke up my four sleeping children. They came and saw the lifeless puppies and my two oldest, 6yrs and 4yrs at the time, just simply looked at their dad and said, "Daddy just pray and put on a tape, and the puppies will be ok.”

So, we did. We put the puppies in a basket with a lamp to warm them, and then pressed PLAY. And as you all know where this is going, within minutes those six puppies started moving and whimpering. My brother in law still had the puppy that was dead in the crate, and took it out to bury it before the children could see it. A few minutes later he came running in the door yelling, "This one is alive too!" Yes, all seven puppies were saved.

We took them and Tasha to the veterinarian where they were fed, warmed, and checked out. We took them home at the end of the day. When we got home with the puppies, all my children came running to see them. They looked at them, then said, "Thank you Jesus for the puppies!" They all went to good homes and three of them went to believers’ homes. I kept in touch with most of the families that the puppies went to, and all of the puppies lived to be at least 16yrs old.

Thank you,
