God In Simplicity

130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Psalm 119:130

God has His Own set way of doing things: sending revivals, talking, speaking, whatever it is. He has His way of doing it, and we are nobody to tell Him how to do it. He does it the way it pleases Him to do it.

65-1127B "Trying To Do God A Service..."

Have patience. It might be a child, a brother, or it could be a beloved wife that doesn't have the vision at this time, but the Word teaches us to apply the Token and then put this burden into God's hands. He has His own time and His own ways, but we can rest assured that He also keeps His own promises. All we have to do is look forward to witnessing how He will accomplish those promises.

This sister’s spiritual eyes were opened by the simplest of parables. Now she can proclaim, “I'm so glad that I can say I'm one of them.”

I wanted to share my testimony of how the Lord used opossums to open my eyes to the Message and save my soul. Brother Branham has said how the Lord will use something close to your heart to get your attention.

I love animals and started doing veterinary work at the age of 17. I loved my job. I got married to a man who was raised in the Message but not living it, and I was 100% Baptist and thought I was a Christian. Shortly after we got married, he started going to a tape church, and I would go with him because I thought as a wife my place was with my husband, even though I thought these people are crazy! My husband gave his heart back to the Lord, and we had our ups and downs. I tried to get him to leave me because I thought he deserved a real true Christian wife, one that had long hair, wore long skirts, and listened to tapes. I knew I would never do those things, but he loved me and never allowed any talk about it. I saw something real in those people, real people with real faith. I was starting to see some things and question many things.

One day driving to work, I saw something in the road and drove over it, and then realized it was some baby animals. So I dropped my daughter off at her aunt's house, who is a Message believer and stopped back at the place I had seen the animals, hoping no one had ran over them. I got out to investigate and found three baby opossums. The mother must have been hit by a car and it probably knocked some of the babies off her back. I wrapped them in my coat and took them to work with me. My boss wanted to euthanize them, but I said, "no I am going to raise them." So I brought them home and bottle fed them all. They thought I was their momma. They were so ugly that they were cute and everybody thought I was crazy, but I loved them and took care of them like I would any animal. My husband didn't like them at all. My father in law was visiting and said, “You know Brother Branham prayed for an opossum and the Lord healed her." He gave me a Message book and let me read that story. I really enjoyed it and was starting to believe, but I just couldn't give up my pants. I thought I would lose my job and lose all my family. The Lord kept working on me though, and I stopped wearing pants for a couple weeks and then I got rebaptized. My life has never been the same!

I believe the Lord put those baby opossums in my path. He took something close to my heart to save my poor lost soul! Most people would not stop and pick up opossums out of the road, but God knew I would. I cried the day I had to release them back into the wild. My husband said, "Don't you think the God who created them is more than able to take care of them?" That really got my attention, and I was like, "Yes!" I smile every time I hear the opossum story. It has a special place in my heart.

Thanks to the Lord, I am a stay at home, homeschooling mom to three wonderful children, have a wonderful husband and marriage, and most importantly I am saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, thanks to His wonderful mercy and grace! God bless you all and His Bride all around the world! :)

P.S. Now I am one of the crazy people too! Praise the Lord!
