The Little Things

Big or small, our God is always there to answer our requests. This sister took God at His Word, and asked her son to pray for her when she was stung by a wasp.

I just wanted to share what the Lord did for me this morning during Quiet Time.

Last night I was taking my baby upstairs to get him ready for bed. I was holding on to the hand rail, and I felt a sudden pain in my pinky finger. I looked and a wasp was sitting underneath the rail. It was the most painful sting I have ever had.

I immediately started tingling in the hand that was stung and then my face, mouth, throat, and my other hand started tingling. I started to panic (I'm usually a pretty calm person). I went and got my teenage son, and asked him to pray for me.

He asked the Lord to heal me and prayed so sweet and calmly. I could feel the atmosphere changing! The Lord took all the tingling and pain away. For me, one of the worst parts about getting stung is all the swelling and itching that goes with it. Right away, satan started telling me it was still going to swell up and itch, and I was probably not going to be able to do the special things I had planned for tomorrow.

I claimed my healing and went to bed. This morning as I was having Quiet Time on my porch, it was so beautiful outside. The birds were singing, and the weather was perfect. The flowers were so pretty. I was thinking how can anyone look at a flower and not believe in God? Then a wasp slowly flew in front of me. I thought, here comes satan.

I watched it for a moment, disappointed it interrupted such a wonderful morning, but then I realized it was the Lord reminding me of my healing. I looked down at my finger and it was perfectly normal. No swelling or itching! I’m so thankful that the Lord healed me and shows Himself in such wonderful ways!

God Bless You.
