From Ghana, Brothers Isaac, Paul, and Jonathan travelled west
a few hundred miles to Lagos, Nigeria. Like Ghana, every known church in the
country of Nigeria recently received a Lighthouse package. The next few days
provided an opportunity for the brothers to meet with Brother Andrew Alasa,
VGR Office Manager in Lagos, and local librarians. The following is Brother
Isaac Branham’s report of their trip to Nigeria.
We’ve had the facility in Lagos for a little over a
year. It is easily accessible being located in downtown Lagos. There
is plenty of storage, and it seems to fit their needs perfectly.
While we were visiting, people came in and out. Many watched
"Jeffersonville, A Prophet’s Hometown" and "Twentieth-Century
Prophet" videos. It was so wonderful to see and actually hear the
prophet’s voice echoing in the room as we were working in the
office. A few times the brothers and I just simply had to pause, put
our heads down, and listen to the Voice.
We were able to meet with several of the librarians. Their
testimonies were powerful! Hearing about the healings taking place
through the listening of the Message on these Lighthouse packages
was such a blessing. Nigeria recently received Lighthouse packages
for all the churches and libraries in the country, which was
sponsored by Northside Fellowship in Tucson, Arizona. You can tell
that these people are using their packages! Many of these brothers
and the ministers told us about how Brother Branham is preaching
their services and how the Anointing is coming forth. A sister gave
the testimony that there was a time that she didn’t have anybody to
pray for her. Her husband was away and she couldn’t be prayed for,
so she just grabbed a Spoken Word book, put it on top of her head,
and received her healing! We heard so many testimonies like this.
One of the librarians told me that the majority of people were
Muslims in one of the areas. I asked, "Do they speak Arabic?" The
brothers almost fell out of their chairs when we told them that we
brought about 1000 Arabic tracts with us in case there would be a
need. We were able to give them to the brothers to take with them to
their libraries.
While travelling, I spotted a few girls on the side of the street.
They looked like sweet little girls with matching outfits. I went to
take a picture, but they looked shy so I didn’t take the picture. We
pulled over on the side of the road and dropped a brother off. As we
were waiting, another brother came walking up with those little
girls that we saw earlier, and he said, "Oh, they want to meet you."
So we got out of the van and talked to them. They were
Message-believers. We had a couple "The Mother Opossum" books, which
we gave to them. I asked one of the girls if she knew the opossum
story. Her reply was "Yes, of course." I said, "Tell it to me." She
said, "There was this little mother animal that lived out in the
bush, deep in the bush, and she came because she wanted the Prophet,
William Marrion Branham, to pray for her." It really blessed me to
hear that little girl tell the story on a moment’s notice and
without rehearsal. You can tell that they are listening to the
Message.
Our trip was a wonderful success. Having time with the brothers is
priceless. Even since coming back, you can tell by the brothers’
voices that they are encouraged and it does the same for us.
