A Gift For Our Friends In Bolivia

Armed with boxes of five newly-translated Spanish Message books, Spanish cassettes, solar tape players, and solar chargers, Brother Juan Tarqui (VGR Distributor in Bolivia) exited the tiny plane and loaded his precious cargo into the truck for the four-hour journey deep into the Bolivian jungle. The first of two stops was the town of Santa Rosa. There he met Brother Arnulfo, the pastor of the humble Santa Rosa congregation.

The believers were overjoyed to receive these five new messages. They received word a few months ago that more Message books may be on the way, and they had been eagerly awaiting Brother Juan’s arrival. Not only were they elated with the new books, they also delighted in Brother Juan’s testimonies of how the Message is covering the earth through the distribution of the books and tapes.

From Santa Rosa, Brother Juan ventured deeper into the Bolivian jungle. The following is an excerpt from the report of his trip.

From Santa Rosa to Picaflores, it is one hour of a trip by the road filled with dust. Our clothing even changed color. In time of rain, the road of dirt turns to mud. The express taxis and the cars cannot continue traveling. Picaflroes is a town without electricity. The temperatures are very hot. The jungle is infected with serpents, lizards, frogs and all the pests. The mosquitoes abound and sting our skin, it inflames for several days. The jungle of Bolivia is filled with trees of all sizes, all green. Even the natives do not go into the virgin jungles. They can be bitten by the serpents. There exist some ranches of cattle and also small colonies of families. I myself do not know how they live.

In the service of the church, I gave a testimony of VGR Jeffersonville and the work that we are doing. Pastor Enoc of Picaflores, in the deep jungle, loves this Message. The church roof is of motacú leaves to counter the heat. It looks like an African hut. The temperatures are elevated from August and this high roof helps to maintain the cool. The motacú leaves are resistant to the heat, rain, and winds. The walls are adobe. No fine varnished furniture remains. The heat, humidity, and dust erase the varnish from the furniture and help to return to the original wood.

Pastor Enoc is very grateful for our visit. He says that VGR are the only ones who remembers them. Pastor Enoc and the brethren of the church follow faithfully the Message.

The brethren of these jungles, some are almost white. They are descendents of the Spanish when they conquered almost 500 years ago. They only speak Spanish. Some descendents remain in the savage state inside the deep jungles and are nomads.

There is no service of transport to Picaflores, so Pastor Enoc has a motorcycle. The trip is one hour to Santa Rosa to pick up the books. I have coordinated with the two pastors, so they can receive their material.

Pastors Enoc and Arnulfo and the two churches send greetings to Brother Joseph Branham, Voice Of God Recordings, and the supporters of this work, and they thank you for the books, cassettes, solar panels, and tape players.

God bless you.

Your friend,
J. Tarqui
