Angola is one of three Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa (Mozambique and Sao Tome are the others). There are currently over 30,000 believers in that country, and they rely on a network of 7 VGR distribution centers to receive their Portuguese and French Message material.
The following is an excerpt from Brother Kamalandua’s monthly report. Brother Kam is a pastor, missionary, and VGR office manager in Luanda. He and some of his missionary brothers have been traveling in the southern part of Angola, spreading the Gospel and handing out Portuguese Message material to those who can read and speak that language. Their efforts are constantly being rewarded with more souls coming into the Kingdom.
During the month, as we are still focusing on the evangelizing in the province of Kwanza Sul, in the municipality of Waco Kungo, where many souls are coming to Christ and action is going further with many other villages getting the Message. Beside Kissukila village, we have added to our list another village named Kitundo, where nine people have received Christ, and we have identified some people reading and understanding the Portuguese language. The local language is Ngoya which is similar to Kimbundu, spoken by the southern people. For each trip, we are carrying Portuguese material and distributing to those who are able to read. It has been a great blessing.
