Short History of Office Manager:
Bolahs Onyango was born on the 13th of February, 1962, in a rural home in Apokor village, Merikit sub county, Tororo District, Uganda.
With an Anglican background he tried several times to receive salvation with the Pentecostal Church, but every time he knelt down to be prayed for he would go back to the Anglican. There was always a conviction deep in the heart that there was no truth in it.
In 1987, I came to the Message. Some men came to the neighbor talking about someone called William Marrion Branham whom God had used in the End Time to bring to us the right interpretation of the Bible. And they said that one of the interpretations was regarding how we should be baptized. They explained how baptism is done only in the Name of Jesus Christ. Whatever they were speaking at the neighbors room could be heard clearly from Brother Bolahs' room, as they were only separated by a door. The neighbor surprisingly asked those men to leave her house immediately as she wasn't ready to hear such nonsense. She shouted, "Get out of my house," as she was standing at the door.
On hearing this and after following up their explanation about another man whom they called a prophet, Brother Bolahs walked out along the road and called these men back into his house. They talked a little while together and Brother Bolahs asked where that man they were referring to as a prophet was. One of them said he has since gone to glory, but there are books he has left behind as a record of his preaching.
Brother Bolahs asked them for the books where he taught that baptism was in Jesus Christ's name. They did not have any but promised to come back and bring it, along with some more. They requested Brother Bolahs to go to their church, but he declined and thinking that they were lying about the books, and told them to bring the books first.
The next day, one of them returned alone with a large book like a Bible (C.O.D), and using that book showed clearly how the prophet explained true baptism. Brother Bolahs argued it out, saying that the Bible says that we should baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The brother explained what this meant and Brother Bolahs agreed that this was true, as God by his grace opened his understanding to him. He got some books to read by himself and found many new things which he understood differently in the Anglican church.
He shared this with his late wife Grace, and all agreed to go to the church where the Brother invited them. After one week, both were baptized on the same day.
Since then, Brother Bolahs has found only golden nuggets in this Message. He took up responsibility of pastor in 2000, when the pastor of the church passed away. There have been many challenges and trials for Brother Bolahs, just as there have been many victories too, but the Message has remained as fresh as it has always been. Glory be to the Name of the Lord Jesus.
Short Testimony of Office Manager:
I would like to thank the Lord who has made it possible for me to be a servant in the field of harvest in close association with Voice Of God Recordings and Brother Joseph Branham in particular.
I would like to say that I have enjoyed working with all the staff at Jeffersonville. During the short time I have been working with Voice Of God Recordings, I have found their method of work and overall motives indeed line with the wish of our prophet Brother William Marrion Branham.
I have lived to see the fulfillment of what the prophet said in our country, Uganda. When the Message came to Uganda in 1975, from Kenya, there were just a couple of churches in Soroti, Tororo, and Kampala. A few years later, several churches sprung up around the towns and trading centers, as much material was being shipped to Uganda. Today we supply between 400 and 410 churches countrywide. This is indeed a very rapid growth considering that denominations are instead closing down in some areas.
One American missionary research expert recently came to our Kampala office and wondered how we are able to draw so many people to Christ, considering that we are being referred to as a cult and using a very small office. He remarked that the rate at which different denominations are coming into the Message is raising concern among the Pentecostal denominations that are more organized and have large offices. I responded by telling him that we put more of our efforts in distributing the truth and they put more of their efforts in trying to look great.
Over the years, the Message has gone right from the city and town areas down to the very rural areas. The most remote areas of Uganda, like Karamoja, have even received the Message. It has had a great impact on the people and even on the government. The government has used the gun to try to stop cattle rustling in that region, but this has been met with a lot of resistance and in most cases failed. But when the Karimojong warriors receive the Message, they surrender the arms to the government and even start putting on clothes. Great Karimojong warriors have received the Message and stopped rustling, and because of this, our distributor for Moroto was being offered a job by the government to stop the Karimojong from cattle rustling. He turned down the offer, because he told them that he was not the one who stopped them, but the Message which they had received.
So truly the Message does not glitter but rather it glows and will get to the remotest parts of the world till all the elect of God come in.
