From The Archive - Keep Your Eyes On Him

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 Peter 1:23

(originally published on May 10, 2016) This brother was in the right atmosphere when Satan brought the test before him. Brother Chester immediately pulled his Sword and went to battle, turning the opportunity to sin into an opportunity to witness.

Many years ago I drove a 53-foot dry van for OTRX trucking company out of Olatha, Kansas, and I was cruising through Arkansas on Interstate 30. It was a nice day and having my cruise set at 65 MPH and looking in my mirror, I noticed there were about four trucks following behind me. I was listening to one of Brother Branham’s tapes, (Father, The Hour Has Come - 56-1002A) and I felt like I was setting, and driving, in heavenly places.

Then blasting over my CB radio came a voice saying, "Hey OTRX, take a look at this car seat passing you!" This interrupted the atmosphere I was in and I looked in my mirror to see a car passing me, she was just behind my trailer on her way around me. (Note, when a trucker tells you ”take a look at this car seat,” he wants you to see an immodest woman.)

So as she got close to the cab of my truck to pass on my left, I looked in my right side passenger mirror and she zoomed by me. So the trucker keyed up his radio and said, "What do you think about that OTRX?" Well I thought, I haven't even said a word to him, he doesn't even know if my radio was on! So I chose to ignore him. A few minutes had passed and I could hear him say, "Well he must be one of those funny boys, who likes boys more than girls."

At this statement I responded and I said, “Sir, I would like to thank you for warning me about the female (car seat) individual passing me. You see, I love that little woman which I call my wife setting at home, taking care of my dear children so much that I, in no way, would want think of this one you pointed out to me in the manner you were suggesting." I said, "As much as I love my wife, I love the Lord Jesus even more and He said, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." - Matthew 5:28.

The airwaves went dead silent for about a minute! Then he said in a gruff voice, “I didn't expect a sermon!” Then another fellow trucker keyed up and said, “Now there's a real man!” The airwaves stayed silent for about five minutes and it got me to meditating on, "What is a real man?" Some think big, brawny, take nothing from anybody type man, or maybe a lady's man, real handsome man, smart man, rich man. But I thought, "A real man had to be an eternal man, because when all the drama is over in this realm, the only man that there will be is the man Christ Jesus who made choices so we could be real men, Eternal Men.

I had resumed listening to the tape I had on, and I happened to come to the place in the tape were Brother Branham said, “Did you know Jesus Christ said, 'Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her, hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.' Does anybody know that? If I… And if you dress yourself sexy like, no matter how modest you think it is, and go out on the street, and some old sinner looks at you to lust after you, at the judgment bar you'll be guilty of committing adultery with that man when he answers for it. Why is it? It was you was the one done it. You presented yourself that way, so you are the guilty one. And you, no matter how virtuous and pure you've lived, you'll be guilty before God of committing adultery with a sinner, just the same as you'd went through the act. Jesus said so. That's not skim milk, brother; that's the truth. It's barbed wire. But it's what God's Word says, it cuts and sharper than a two edged sword."

Halfway through this quote, I stopped the tape and rewound it to the beginning of the quote. I took my CB microphone and held it up to the radio speaker, and played that part of the quote in the ears of every trucker within the radio's output distance. It got quiet again! The man that said "There's a real man," keyed up and said, “That's some good preaching! We need to hear more of that.”

I just slipped back into heavenly places and worshiped the Lord with a grateful heart to find that there was a true standard in the heart of the Word-birthed believer.

Take that, devil! Sometimes you bite off more than you can chew when you tangle with a son of God!
