The Right Approach

3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18:3-4

This sister’s testimony is not only a blessing to read, but it's a good reminder of how to approach our Father. Many times it isn't always how much we say or how we say it, but simply coming to the Lord with the faith of a young child.

My mom, Sister Madge, and I had went to Hope, Arkansas to visit some precious believer friends who live there, and they had a little girl named Rachel who was about four years old at the time. I had gone into a back bedroom to lay down because I was having a massive migraine headache and needed a dark room to lay down in hoping the migraine would ease and go away. Little Rachel came in the room and asked me what was wrong. I told her I had a migraine headache, and it hurt very much. I don’t know why, but I asked this four-year old to please pray for me. And did she ever! I’ve never ever forgot her little prayer.

At first she got real still and bowed her head and put her two little hands together. With her head bowed and solemn she said “Lord Jesus, we love You!” Immediately you could feel the most precious Presence come down into that room!

Really still and reverent, the next thing she said was, “Thank you for your Word, Lord.” I could hear her little voice break when she said it. I had never heard a four-year old pray like that. And as I said, the Presence in that bedroom was phenomenal. It was powerful! She said, “Lord Jesus please heal Sis. Lynette’s headache. It hurts so bad.”

Instantly I was healed. That migraine headache immediately and completely left me. Gone instantly.

Jesus said if we don’t become like little children we can’t enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Over the years I’ve thought and thought about this testimony. I’ve thought about four-year old Rachel and her little prayer. The first thing she did was get quiet before the Lord, and then she told the Lord Jesus just how much she loved Him. And then she thanked the Lord Jesus for giving her His Word. As a result it brought down the sweet Holy Spirit into that bedroom in a phenomenal way! It was so powerful. Not only was I instantly healed, but I learned a good life lesson from a four-year old little girl in how to approach the Lord Jesus whenever I pray.
