If you saw the moon rise last night, then you witnessed the brightest display of a full moon since January 26, 1948. The moon won’t appear that big in the sky until 2034 (if the Lord tarries).
What is a super moon? It’s a fairly common occurrence. The moon’s natural orbit around the earth is not a circle, it’s an ellipse. That means that the moon is a little closer or a little farther away than the last time you saw it. Today, it is at its closest point to the earth, which means that it looks big in the night sky. In fact, it's rotation has brought it closer to the earth than it has been for the last 68 years. A full moon at this distance from the earth looks about 14% larger and 30% brighter than when it is at its furthest point away.
What does a super moon mean to us? The Bible tells us, “And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth…” so any time we see something this significant in the sky, we take note. Here are some things that have happened over the past few years: Four blood moons fell on Jewish feast days showed us that something is happening here on earth. The rise of hatred and violence, coupled with rampant immorality looks amazingly similar to Jesus’ prophecies in Luke 17. Russia has now regained her status as a superpower, and last week, the unprecedented United States presidential election elected a businessman with no political experience, and a woman most likely won the popular vote of the people. The world is in confusion, but the Bride sees these things as signs that our Lord Jesus is coming quickly.
However, the super moon seems special. The prophet taught us that the sun represents Christ and the moon represents the church. Doesn’t it make you feel good that the moon is shining brighter than it has since just after Brother Branham received his commission to go to the field and preach the Gospel?
The moon is reflecting the light of the sun, and the Bride is reflecting the Light of Christ! Without the Bride, this world would be a very dark place. Keep shining your Light!
And now, when Jesus was taken away, we are the Bride which is the moon, to reflect the Light of the Gospel, and we can't reflect it until He shines on us. Amen.
Well, when we get… When the Gospel goes to shining on us, then we shine it out. So send the Light, Lord, is my prayer, that we can reflect the Light of the Son of God in His power, and His resurrection, and His fullness, how marvelous.

In Genesis, when God made the—the sun, first, the moon next, that moon and sun represents Christ and the Church. Just as the sun comes up in its power and glory; and when it goes down, it reflects its light to the moon, in the darkness, to give light on the earth while the sun is gone. Jesus, when He left, He went into Glory and reflected His Light back on the Church; to give, the Church, Light of the Gospel until He returns, oh, my, and then they'll get married. That'll be wonderful. It'll be one great Light of moon and…"The Lamb is the light thereof." They needed no more sun, in the City.
