Keep Holding On

Now, I know we all want—think our kids is renegades and things like that. But we—we must stop that. I—I believe that we must remember that these kids are the best kids in the world, because they're our children, and we claim them for God.

Now, your salvation will not save that child. But now, Paul said—said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thy and thy house shall be saved." Now, he… Now, what did he mean by that? He didn't mean that because they were saved, that their house would be saved with it. He meant this: that because they were—had… If he had enough faith to be saved himself, his same amount of faith that he had for himself would work for his children. See what I mean?

Having children is a great blessing to a family, but it is also a tremendous responsibility. As our children grow up, we rely more and more on prayer to keep them safe. Eventually, we hand them over to the Lord Jesus and claim them under the Token that He has given us. This sister overheard a simple statement of faith, which helped in her own stand for her family.

I just want to give a little testimony of how the words of a precious sister, standing in the Branham Tabernacle parking lot, has encouraged me for many years.

It was during our discussion that we were talking about our children. Mine were teenagers then and I felt blessed they were such wonderful kids. As is so normal among believers when we talk about our children, the story of Sis. Hattie Wright and her boys came up.

Someone asked this elderly sister, "Sister, are your children serving the Lord?" She never hesitated, but said, "Yes, praise the Lord, they are everyone saved and filled with the Holy Ghost!" When the sister left the area, someone said, "God bless her! She's claiming them by faith, not a one of them is serving the Lord."

I do not name the sister here, because although in my mind I do have a name, I'm not 100% sure of it. I'm hoping to speak with her again, and get that confirmation. Whoever this sister is, I have the deepest admiration for her, and I sure do wish I was more like her! Her comment has strengthened my backbone many times!

May God bless her for her stand, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you, my precious sister.
