All of our communication with prisoners is done through the US Postal Service, which means we get a lot of letters from prisoners. Here are a few excerpts of those letters from throughout the United States.
I wanted you to know I have received the latest books from you, and my soul gets so excited when opening the box. I am Spanish, and to my surprise, the one book I really had my heart on was English. First, I was sad then something told me God makes no mistakes, praise the Lord! My cellmate asked what you got, he speaks English only. I showed him and to my surprise, a person I would never take as being religious at all, asked if he could read the English book. "Of course," I said. We both set and read for a while, and then he got up and walked out. He returned with a person that acts as a translator. He asked, "What is this?" I said, "The Message of the prophet of Jesus Christ." The translator left, and my cellmate walked up to me and with tears hugged me. I then stuck out my hand, and he took it and said, "Brother." Then using that international word, he yelled, "Alleluia!" Yes, my friends, God never makes mistakes.

I have been a Christian all my life. After reading my first book, I started wondering what you are. This is so far beyond what I ever heard or imagined. This is so far beyond Christian teachings, I do not know what to call it. People ask me what the book is about, all I can tell them is about the living God. You won’t get this at chapel or any church I have been to. God bless Brother Branham!

I could always count on the Message books arriving. The Spiritual Food I have become addicted to is life. I used to call the Message the bread of life, but it has become life to me, the living Revelation of Jesus Christ. I have always supported and prayed for the work to the best of my ability. I pray God forgive me for the time I slacken. In return, God has blessed me beyond my needs. Any trouble I had since my commitment to the Message has been of my own doing. You just change your focus, get your eyes off the cross, and bang here it comes, never fails. It only takes a second, that is how I got here in the first place. I have been in contact with a believing church near here and through a friend, God has provided me a job (a blessing at my age) and a place to stay. As soon as I can, I want to travel to Jeffersonville and take Communion with the brethren. God bless you all. Do not slack in the duty.

I had some very big plans, big ideas, then something happened. See I knew church was a big scam, the world is nothing but lies and scams, everyone trying to get the next guy before he gets them. Well, I read that book, Greatest Battle. See I can read, give me another. Well, what can I say, I was right about the world, but this is not of the world. It took me a while but I finally I understood Brother Branham is not of the world, not of the church, he is of pure Truth. My world just crashed around me. Brothers, nothing can stand against this Message. You can’t fight the Truth, and it’s going to win every time.

I just wanted everyone to know that there is a work going on inside these walls. There are many inside that do all they can to promote the Message of the prophet and the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Like on the outside sometimes you feel it’s all in vain but then the person you least expect will ask for more. What a blessing to give them your address to write to. But it’s not the outside, and unless you been here, it’s hard to understand. There is evil everywhere, name-calling and abuse that would not be permitted outside, and it goes on into the night. You can’t get away from it. There is no Quite Time. You learn very quickly that it is just the Lord that protects you and preserves your life. Please remember us in your prayers.

At the last prison, I was in a little study group. We would get together and read the books all we could. When I was transferred, I left all my books for the group. I thought no matter where they send me there has to be a group of believers there, but not here. So could you start sending me books so I can rebuild my library, and Lord willing start a study group here.

I remember being arrested and thinking "what am I doing?" I ran with the world, and thought I really enjoyed it but inside you know something is wrong. Funny, when you get caught, all you think of is I wish I hadn’t done that. So I knew it was wrong. One inmate took me aside and gave me a warning, told me this is either going to break me or make me better. He said, "You must get quiet, alone, and seek God’s Son or you will die." I found out that God can be anywhere, but you have to want to see Him. It’s hard when all you ever see is the glitz and the glamor. I asked how do I start, I was pointed to your books and given your address. So send me what I need.

I really love the teachings of Brother Branham. Never have I read such a spiritual insight. He can open what seems to be the simplest thing and build it into an earth shaking Spiritual Revelation. Surely this is of God, for these Spiritual Revelations can only come from Him. Every book is alive with it, from a bubbling brook, to a soaring Eagle. Just takes my heart away.
