Translation Update

A message recorded in Ciluba on Wednesday, uploaded to the website the next day, played in churches and a local radio station in the Dem. Republic of Congo that Sunday: What seemed impossible just a short time ago, is now a reality.

The translation process is now at a place where we never dreamed it could go. What used to take up to a 1½ years to get new translations into the hands of the people, can now be acomplished in only days. The in-house process of editing, mastering, proofing took months to reach the distribution offices, and then even longer to get to the believers. Here is an example of translating three Messages in 2008, the time it took for the material to reach the overseas office, and then to be distributed to the people.

Our Ciluba translator, Brother Matamba spent a week with us here in Jeffersonville, translating a handful of sermons. Just a few weeks ago, we released 4 new Ciluba translations on this website. These were edited and posted all between Wednesday to Friday.

How is this impacting the Bride? A few Tapeboys in Congo quickly downloaded these sermons over the weekend and brought them to local radio station as well as a few of the local churches in Mbuji Mayi, Congo. We are already getting feedback of the impact this is having.  Here is the testimony from one of the Tapeboys, Brother Jerome.

I would like to inform you that I had tape services in 7 different churches and 1 group of independent brothers. With the very first sermon played in Ciluba, we had 10 new converts to the Message.

The services, which were broadcasts over the radio, started on March 19th and they are broadcasted every day in the morning from 5:30am to 7:30am, along with every Monday and Tuesday evening from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. The Ciluba tapes are broadcasted on RTZ. Please note that the RTBM also started to broadcast the sermons for about one hour per day. I estimate that in the tape services I've had so far, about 800 believers were able to hear Brother Branham in their own native language.
