Philippines Report

Located in an area of the world where Christianity is rare, the Philippines is a strongly Christian nation where the Message has been readily accepted by thousands of souls who were searching for something a little more than a denominational view of God’s Word. Brother Jeremiah Villagracia, VGR Office Manager in Manila, continues to find fertile ground to plant the Lord’s Seeds. The following is a report of Brother Jeremiah’s and the Filipino staff’s recent work in their country.

From a little over 200 Message churches that we were serving in October, 2005, the work has increased by nearly two-fold to about 600 Message churches to date all over the Philippines. From a Message church in the Ilocos region at the northernmost part of Luzon down to the southernmost church in the Saranggani province in Mindanao; from a church in the easternmost province of Davao Oriental to the westernmost church in Palawan; from a church in the mountainous area of Bukidnon to a seashore church in Sutton, Malimono down to a church in a very small Talim Island of Rizal province, the congregations of end-time saints in these places already had the blessed opportunity to hear and listen to the Voice of the Seventh Angel himself through the Lighthouse MP3 players that have been placed into the hands of the precious ministers of the Message. The Message has gone forth and continues to go forth and reach out from our office in Manila to almost every city or town in the country, where each known Message church is located.

Overall Distribution Facts and Profile

To date, we have made a total of 7,919 mailings and distributions, 2,245 of which were picked up by the ministers/believers themselves from the VGR office and by direct distributions or via our regional librarians and distributors involving 329,589 Message books to date. The details of the materials that had been given out are shown below.

While the focus and priority of our distribution are our brothers and sisters in the Message churches spread out all over the country, we also try our best to bring this Message to those who have not come to know about It, much less about the Messenger. Some of the things that the Lord had led us to do in this aspect were through the prisons, government public libraries, direct mails to the denominations, actual house to house distribution, etc, which shall be briefly mentioned in this report.

Translations

We have submitted to date a total of thirty translated Messages, half of which had been printed and published already. This makes a total of 53 translated sermons from the Philippines thus far. There are 75-150 native languages spoken by Filipinos although, 6 of these 75 so-called mother tongues are major languages. The Tagalog (25%) and Cebuano (24%) of these major languages are majority spoken.

We will post a breakdown of the missionary efforts in the Philippines in the days to come.
