Brother Dear Beloved
I’m sorry I’m not that good at drafting reports, but I’ll try to submit a
brief write-up on the miraculous deliverance God undertook for this young
minister. Truly our God is a miracle-working God, a prayer-answering God!
The brother was involved in a violent car accident while he was on his way to
the Capital. The brother was on his
way to church service, when the car tipped over with the abrupt maneuver of the
steering wheel by the driver half asleep (it was 2:00 AM). The car fell into a
side concrete ditch, and skidded over 200 meters with the right door flung open.
The brother was severely injured in the accident, receiving broken bones and was
bleeding profusely.
He had to be conveyed by helicopter to a better-equipped medical institution
in Majunga, located 600kms north of the capital. The brother related to me that
he lost so much blood before this intervention, that he felt the coldness
infiltrating his body from his feet upward. He was dying, but he never
experienced a single feeling of fear. But yet he made a prayer from within his
soul for God to spare his life for another opportunity to witness to these
people where he was heading. He felt a sudden surge of warmth over his body.
I flew to the Capital on Friday, January 23. The following day, I left for
Majunga, 11-hr drive in a taxi (14-seater Toyota Van), accompanied by a faithful
Malagasy translator.
We had prayer, and the next day, to our great satisfaction, the
doctor assigned over the pastor’s care authorized his release from the hospital.
ROMANS 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to
them who are the called according to His purpose.
Little did we know that meanwhile God surprisingly was opening a door for the
Message in this new area, where I found myself in these odd circumstances for
the first time. The pastor of a big denominational church called ‘Rhema’ (300
members), who received a few Message books from his sister living in the eastern
region of the island, invited me to take a service. He was so overwhelmed that
he urged me to stay for service on Thursday and Sunday. He testified to us
before the whole congregation after the service that his church was engaged
before we arrived there in fasting and prayer for a week, for God to send to his
church ministers who would preach the deep things of the Word. And the service
amazingly was maintained even in the midst of the riot, mutiny, political, and
social upheaval taking place at that very moment, where shops and offices were
being plundered and ransacked, and vehicles burnt to ashes on the streets.
I
cannot thank you enough for your prayer and meaningful support in these moments.
Shalom
