Malaysia Trip Report

Malaysia is dangerous place for a Christian missionary. The staunch Muslim nation forbids distribution of Christian material, and breaking these rules could land you in prison. A VGR employee recently visited this country, and as you can expect, the Lord paved the way. The following is his report.

Malaysia Trip, A Testimony

Our trip to Malaysia was nothing short of blessings and miracles, it was ordained by God before the foundation of the world. My maiden trip began with the not so comforting knowledge that I had no contacts in Malaysia, except for a handful, and that too only via correspondence/email. With this in mind we left Chennai carrying with us a suitcase with MP3 CDs of the messages, along with our other luggage, constantly being aware of the fact that Malaysia is a Muslim country. Therefore tracts, books or CDs that pertain to a religion/faith other than their own cannot be taken nor publicly distributed. It is strictly prohibited, and any form of violation against this rule is met with stringent action and dire consequences.

The Lord who has performed miracles timelessly once more undid the complexities that lay ahead and smoothened out the creases from our path and purpose. As we entered the airport in Malaysia and queued in line for the officials to scan and approve our luggage for clearing, the girl who happened to scan my luggage suddenly looked up at me and said that I need not put the other baggage on the scanner. How wonderful is our Lord! In the “other” bag were the MP3 CDs. The precious cargo was kept securely packed and remained undisturbed.

Once in Malaysia we met Brother John who was the recipient of the greatest gift Voice of God could ever offer: MP3 messages of the hour. It is a must to write something about Brother John in a way of introducing him to those who read this. Brother John, for the past several years, had believed the Message and tirelessly hoped to be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He never gave up on his longing for someone to come and baptize his whole family. He prayed earnestly and waited for the time when the Lord would perform this miracle.

The good Lord heard his cry and fulfilled his heart’s desire, and a home church was established. The entire family listened to the Message of the hour intently with great joy. Brother John, who was not only concerned about his family's spiritual blessings and growth, was also concerned about his neighbors and friends to share the glorious Gospel of the end-time. We trust that our good Lord will gather more souls to worship in that humble place and to hear His Word sent for this generation.

I also met several pastors who did not have enough Message books for the congregation. Hence they requested for more books and, as per the request, books were sent. I also had the opportunity to speak with some over the phone as they were located far away from the capital city of Kulalampur. Many requested Message books, and one pastor came forward to establish a tape lending library at his office, allotting a room exclusively for the library.

The trip was a great blessing to us and to the little flock.
