Prayer after prayer, hour after hour, year after year, and even decade after decade, it often seems that the Lord does not hear our prayers. When the time is right, He gives us the desires of our hearts. We received this testimony in the “Contact Us” portion of the website.
Subject: God still saves
From: Benjamin
Abraham held on to the promise, waiting and believing for the manifestation for 25 years. My mom, about 36 years ago, married my dad and began their life together. Some time after their marriage, she came back to the Lord and began to follow the Message of the hour once again as she did in her youth.
Well, she came but my dad did not. Over the thirty some years I have witnessed times when he would come to church with us and listen to tapes and follow, and also witness times when he would try to find mistakes and faults in the Message. All this time I had no idea the kind of strain spiritually this life was on my mom; I was just a kid. I got older and strayed, as did all of my siblings, but still my mom held strong for God and this Message. In her home, not one person besides her was serving the Lord. Six people, and five away from God, living in sin. I moved away and totally forgot about God and this Message, but It never did let me go.
After the promotion of my grandfather, I knew God was calling my wife and me. We gave up all for Christ and have been believers for over four years now. I was called and elected by our church to be a deacon, and for that I am grateful. Still my mom held on for my dad. Still, it appeared to get worse, but God was working and the mountain was moving one grain at a time.
Recently my dad had some serious health problems, and he knew that God was dealing with him, and calling and wooing to him the trueness of the Gospel we believe. There is much more I could type here but to be as brief as possible, we were listening one Sunday to the message, “Ever Present Water From the Rock.” Brother Branham really laid out True Christian Baptism in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. My dad met me at the passage from the sanctuary to vestibule, and told me that the Message was true and he wanted to be baptized. Praise God, a month ago I had the pleasure and blessing of baptizing my dad in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am so thankful my mom never gave up, always believing and confessing that any day it would change and my dad would change. Even when it looked impossible, she held on. Even through the torment, she held on. And after thirty one years, she was rewarded for her stand with my dad giving his all to Jesus and letting God reveal the Word for this Day to him. God Still saves and reveals the Word. Just don’t give up.
