For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was
thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in
prison, and ye came unto me.
Matt 25-35,36
Inside the cold, dark, prison walls, a man writes a letter to his friend.
They have never met in person, but they were joined together by a bond stronger
than any force known to man. From the beginning, the prisoner has depended on
his loyal confidant. When he was blind, his friend gave him the means to receive
his sight. When he was thirsty, his friend quenched his thirst. When he was
hungry, his friend gave him food. When he was lonely, his friend comforted him.
In his letter he pleads, “You are my only rescue...”
Voice of God Recordings sends thousands of letters, books, and tapes to
inmates throughout the world. Many of these prisoners have no families and no
friends. They are alone in a dark place, but the Lord has not forgotten them.
The following letter is to Brother Keith Herne, VGR Manager in Cape Town,
South Africa. Brother Keith is careful to fill every request and takes the time
to write letters to these prisoners. As you listen to his letter, remember that
Brother Keith represents all those who make this work possible. Inside the
prison house, this man found the friends that will always be there for him. He
found you.
My name is Utaba Ishmael Motaung. I am an
inmate at Mangaung Prison.
Dear Brother Keith Herne,
Greetings in the mighty Name of our Lord and Saviour who died for our sins,
the just for the unjust so that we could be the inheritance for the coming
Kingdom.
Brother Keith, I am sure you are in thought what happened to me since I last
wrote to you. In life I am still in good mood and still holding fast in the
Message of the Hour; as the prophet did indicate that this is the last Message
and is the forerunning Message for Christ.
Brother Keith, as you know there is no other place I can come to, but to you
for help, because God always put His help in a man. I am asking for the
following Spoken Words please.
- “Shalom”
- “Three Kinds of Believers”
- “Identification”
- “On the Wings of the Snow White Dove”
- “Adoption”
Please Brother Keith, I know it may be hard, but there is no other option for
me, as I said it always that you are my only rescue in time like this. We are
about to go home, just about to cross over to the Promise Land. Brother Keith,
remember I am your child in the Message. You brought me up by the books of the
Spoken Word you sent me. I was blind, but now I see, and trust that my calling
and election is sure: Because many are called but few are chosen. But me, I say
thank you to the Almighty God who used you to distribute this good Food from the
throne of God, so that we can eat and grow in the knowledge of God.
May the God of the prophets bless you with added blessings.
Yours in Christ Jesus
