VGR Brothers in Zambia

Brother Ron Evans and Brother Nathan Jones have returned home safely to Jeffersonville, and Brother Gordon Tutani has returned safely to his hometown of Harare, Zimbabwe. The following is Brother Gordon’s report of the team’s last stop in Lusaka, Zambia.

We arrived from Malawi via Johannesburg, Wednesday evening the 3rd of February. While we were in Joburg something just moved in my heart to call Brother Ronnie Kapisha and it was just the Holy Spirit because Brother Nathan had just asked about the mid-week day that Brother Ronnie Kapisha has his services. So I just called to verify and there it was – he had thought we were arriving Wednesday. So he quickly rearranged the program and postponed the service to Thursday, and came to pick us from us at the airport.

The following morning, Thursday, we had a nice breakfast and Brother Ronnie Kapisha picked us with his vehicle and we went to the office in downtown Lusaka. I was impressed!!! It was formerly used by an NGO, USAID it is befitting another “USAID,” VOGR – wonderful. The facility consists of about ten beautifully carpeted offices. Brother Kapisha and the VOGR staff there must be commended for their efforts to keep the offices spick and span.

We had the whole morning reviewing the office work and the needs, outstanding materials and equipment, etc. Brother Ronnie had things lined up in his file, and he meticulously brought them up. Brother Nathan and Brother Ronald did their best to take care and take note and also inform and advise on the best way forward. It was wonderful.

After our first morning at the office we later on had lunch and went back to the hotel to relax and prepare for the specially arranged service for Thursday evening. Brother Kapisha and his congregation have built a very large and beautiful church. So we were treated to some beautiful congregational and special songs before and after.

The Friday evening ministers’ meeting began with hands joined together as we sang the song. WE’LL WORK TILL JESUS COMES. One of the local pastors Brother Aaron Muzambalika opened with a word of prayer. Brother Kapisha then explained the purpose of the meeting:

• To hear a word from Brother Joseph Branham through the representatives/about the vision for the work in Zambia
• Answer any questions on issues previously misunderstood
• Have a general update on the work in Zambia

Brother Kapisha then called Brother Ronald Evans to greet and address the people before the floor was handed to Brother Nathan Jones.

I sat there and watched and heard Brother Nathan Jones speak. I was like spell bound, and it was awesome the way he spoke about the VGR involvement with Zambia and how we have worked with Brother Kapisha and what VGR does, and does not, do and the way he answered some of the questions. He had the meeting steered in the right direction before their armor bearer was then introduced to the platform. I spoke about the vision of the work in Zambia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe right from the beginning and testified about the work in progress in Malawi as the pastors there have caught the vision inspired by the pastors in Zimbabwe. The Zambian pastors pledged their willingness to have their own stand and new offices for their people. The meeting was then closed in prayer in a wonderful mood.

After the ministers’ meeting we later had a wonderful first class supper at Brother Ronnie Kapisha’s beautiful home. We all felt at home and it was difficult to leave. As armor bearer, I tried to get the VGR representative to an early rest since I thought they were tired, but they were just enjoying the sweet fellowship in Brother Kapisha’s home with his large and extended family. It was very refreshing and worth the while. Brother Kapisha later took us to the hotel, where we retired to bed. Saturday morning, we got ready to go to the airport. Each of us had a feeling that Zambia was the climax of the trip. Brother Ronnie Kapisha was very happy and our special visitors from the States were very happy.

I would like to thank Brother Ronnie Kapisha for the special treatment he gave us all. I also want to thank Brother Joseph Branham for remembering the work in Zambia and Malawi at this time by sending the VGR representatives on such a special and worthwhile mission. A lot was achieved, and I feel honored to have been part of this team in Zambia and Malawi.

Praise the Lord, We Will Work Till Jesus Comes!!!!!

The brothers could not stop talking about the singing in Brother Kapisha’s church. We thought you might enjoy it too.
