There is a passion among the people of Nigeria to hear more of God’s Word. The Nigerian people also speak English, which gives them access to every sermon we have on tape.

Brother Andrew Alasa, VGR Office Manager in Lagos, included a little U.S. history in his report of a large distribution meeting we held in late 2009, and a short summary of that year’s progress. Here is his report.

THE GREAT GOLD RUSH IN ONITSHA, NIGERIA

God’s hidden Treasure of His Truth was unveiled by His prophet sent to us in this age according to His promised Word in the Holy Bible.

“But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” Revelation 10:7

This hidden Treasure is the precious Word of God sent to prepare the End Time Bride for the Rapture. It was the revelation that brought the complete Deity of Jesus Christ into full view, revealing Who He is, His Nature, His Being and ALL about Him. The prophet said in his message of (63-1222):

“Now: gold in the Bible... how fitting it fits to Christ, because gold speaks of Deity. Gold is "Deity”

Gold, as a natural resource to mankind given by God, is highly sought for and when found in any location, becomes a blessing to the people. This explains the story behind the “Great California Gold rush”

The California Gold Rush, 1849

In January 1848, James Wilson Marshall discovered gold while constructing a sawmill along the American River northeast of present-day Sacramento. The discovery was reported in the San Francisco newspapers in March but caused little stir as most did not believe the account.

The spark that ignited the gold rush occurred in May 1848 when Sam Brannan, a storekeeper in Sutter's Creek, brandished a bottle filled with gold dust around San Francisco shouting 'Gold! Gold! Gold from American River!' The residents of the city now had proof of the discovery and the stampede to the gold fields was on. San Francisco's harbor was soon cluttered with derelict ships deserted by their crews. Workers abandoned their jobs - San Francisco's two newspapers were forced to close their doors as their staffs were struck by gold fever. The populations of many of the coastal towns were depleted as prospective prospectors headed to the gold fields.”

I know of another great Gold Rush as I witnessed in a Voice Of God Recordings meeting in Onitsha, in Anambra state of Nigeria, held in December 5th, 2009. (Onitsha is a city, commercial centre and river port on the eastern bank of the Niger River in Anambra State, southeast Nigeria. The indigenous people of Onitsha are primarily of Igbo ethnicity, although there are other ethnicities, such as the Hausa and Yoruba, who have migrated to Onitsha)

The participants in this particular “Great Gold Rush,” were pastors and ministers of this precious Message from the Lord, brought by the prophet. They all gathered from the different parts of Eastern Nigeria, to attend this meeting. After the meeting, the ministers came out and found a (field of the precious) Gold material and each went into action and, “The RUSH Began!”

What an exciting sight it was to see that, “THAT VOICE OF THE SEVENTH ANGEL” recorded in audio tapes and provided in sermon books and MP3, being highly rushed for by these precious believers who know the value of this Real Gold from God, revealing the Deity of Jesus Christ that we so love today. My heart was full of joy as the brothers were in real business with each one not wanting to be left out in the rush to get copies of the sermon books we had arranged in benches for them to pick after the meeting.

When this was all over, there was joy in the faces of the brothers as each one held tightly under their arms, their own copies of the precious Word from the Lord. I am sure the people who came for the 1949 gold rush in California did not get that much satisfaction and joy otherwise, they would have all become wealthy. But the “Rush” I am reporting here brought deep satisfaction and joy to the believers that participated in it.

We thank God to know that “THAT VOICE” is still very real today to the believers who have heard the Voice of their Great Shepherd, calling them by name.
