A New Lighthouse

Zambia is a country rich in history and rich in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. It was here that the great explorer and missionary, David Livingstone, died while kneeling in prayer for the last time on earth. Zambia was once called Northern Rhodesia, and gained its independence from Britain in 1964. About 13 million people live in that country, which is about the size of Texas. English is the official language, but about 85 different languages and dialects are spoken here. It shares a border with eight different southern African countries.

Today, there are over thirty-five thousand believers in Zambia. Although much of the population speaks English, VGR has translated many books and audio recordings into Bemba, which is a commonly spoken language in that country, as well as in neighboring Congo and Tanzania. Over the past two years, we have distributed hundreds of Lighthouse packages, and the work in Zambia is growing. Brother Ronnie Kapisha, VGR Office Manager in Lusaka, has been hard at work sending this material throughout the country. The distribution effort is expedited through a system of libraries, which supply the materials to the churches in their areas. Brother Kapisha stays in contact with the Zambia pastors, keeping up to date with their churches growing needs, in order to insure they get the proper amount of Spiritual Food necessary to feed their congregations.

One of the able librarians is Brother Davison, who is also the Bemba translator for VGR, and is currently overseeing the construction of a new VGR library in Isoka, complete with its own recording studio. This library will serve as a distribution point for thousands of believers throughout the northern part of Zambia and will also save quite a bit in travel costs. Rather than traveling over 500 miles to Lusaka, then flying to Harare, Zimbabwe when recording Bemba translations, Brother Davison can now record at the local VGR library.

The new library will be a place of refuge for the believers or northern Zambia. They can leave their burdens at the front door, and enter in to a place that is solely dedicated to the Message of the hour. They are looking forward to the completion of their new library.

The following is a report of a recent Missionary trip Brother Davison made to distribute some of the Lighthouse packages and new Bemba translations. It is written by a pastor in that area.

Dear Brother Joseph,

On behalf of the Bride of Christ in this jungle area of Chinsali District of the Republic of Zambia, we hereby give thanks to Voice of God Recordings especially to you our beloved precious Brother Joseph Branham for your efforts and love you show us by ministering to us with the Bride material, the revealed Word of God which we so much cherish. On 12th August 2010 we received nine MP3 CD players and CD’s with Bemba translated Messages. Our Brother, Pastor Davison Mwanza delivered the material to this jungle area about 200km from Isoka where he lives, traveling in the narrow gravel road and bush path to reach us. We thank God for him too. The Saints do sincerely thank you from the bottom of their hearts for this Eagle’s Food. Brother Mwanza told us that you sent us the Lighthouse packages which include CD’s in English. He promised to deliver all the materials a bit by bit because of the capacity of his vehicle, which cannot carry all the 40 boxes at a goal.

We have 22 churches in this area, and so far 9 have received the MP3 players. The distance from one church to the other ranges from 30 to 200 km. Believers from other distant places come here to collect their food on bicycles, most of the places where they come from are impassable with a car. Sometimes I distribute the Messages on the bicycle to those churches. The door for this Message is widely opened in this area. What you are doing for us is great. This will take us to Heaven.

Fellow citizens of the Kingdom and saints, may the Lord our God richly bless you and all you do for us in this jungle area. We love and salute you in Jesus Christ holy Name.

I remain your fellow laborer and brother in the Master’s Harvest Field.

Bro. Alex Matipa.
