Brother Michael had an extra special blessing when he mentioned a familiar name to his old trapper friend from British Columbia. This is his testimony:

I am so thankful for the Message of the hour and the great opportunity to listen to the voice of God in this end time. How thankful I am for the Word of the Lord, given to me by His servant and prophet, Brother Branham.

With my job I am able to listen to many messages throughout the week. I have no church and no fellowship with other believers for as much as 10 months at a time, but I'm so thankful for the stored up Food that will sustain the Bride to the end. I lost my family, my wife I truly loved, my two daughters and son 10 years ago, which completely changed my life and the direction that I was walking, but I believe God had to break me to mold His character in me. But God’s grace has been with me. Truly I have taken of the stored up Food the prophet laid in for the Bride. It’s been my absolute and strength and stability. I‘ve had the opportunity to visit the Philippines on many small missionary trips. I often feel like the two spies that Joshua sent into Jericho and spy out the land. Brother Branham called them tape boys.

I've walked alone with the Lord for many years. I would read the Message books in a well-known coffee shop on the weekends. I became close friends with an older gentleman named Bob. I thought he was a great man. He was 83, and he would share many stories as a trapper in northern British Columbia. He could remember stories and things that happened 70 years prior with precise clarity. I said to him one day if he ever met a man called Bud Southwick. He looked at me with curiosity; maybe he was thinking how I knew this man. He said, “Yes in the late forties I went fishing with him.” He told me a story, “Back in the 30’s, my uncle had a trap line in the same area as Bud lived, but he lost it in a bad deal to a family of brothers that were not so nice.” Bob continued, “Bud had a brother that had something wrong with him, and this group of men did not like him, so they hired Bud’s brother to clear out a trail far back in the wilderness, in hopes that he would have an attack and die out there.” But as we know God had other plans for him. I later let him read the story of Brother Braham and his friend, Bud, in the far north. And it seemed to touch his heart. Bob knew I was different. I shared the Message with him and I trust by God’s grace, I will see him again. My great friend passed on early this year. I often think of him.

In memory of a friend and trapper of the north.
