I have a job that has enabled me to work at home much of the time, which has allowed me to homeschool my son. Recently I was told by my manager that all of the employees with work-at-home status would now be required to be in the office 9 hours a day, 5 days a week. I went home that evening and spoke with my son about it, and wrote out a check from the checkbook Brother Joseph gave us, asking the Lord to give me a work-at-home job so that I could continue homeschooling my son.
We both signed it, prayed over it, and sent it up to Heaven. The next day I went to work in the office, and found a job posted on the intranet at work that was to be a full time work-at-home position. However it was for a job that was outside of my scope of training, and traditionally you would not be considered without this specific training or certification. Still I felt compelled to apply for it.
I had to take an assessment test in order to apply for the position, a long arduous test that took almost four hours. I asked the Lord to help me to do my best, but felt like I did when I had originally applied for the job - I had no expectations. I had not forgotten my "check" I had written, I just didn't know how or when the Lord would answer.
I didn't hear anything for several days, and thought perhaps that I had done poorly on the test and they were not going to interview me.
I went on about my other job, and had made temporary special arrangements for my son and his schooling. Three weeks and one day after I wrote the check out, asking for a full time work at home job so that I may continue homeschooling my child, the Lord gave me my request! The main director over this new position called me. He said I had done very well on the test, asked me a few questions, and said she would call HR and see what she could do. I was hoping for an interview at this point, but four hours later, the recruiter called and offered me the job! Not only did I get the job that is virtually impossible to get into without prior experience or certification (which I had neither), but I did not even have to interview for it!
Praise the Lord! There is only one explanation for this: the Lord moved all the pieces into place, and made this happen, and I praise His Wonderful Name - another check has been cashed!
I am so appreciative to Bro. Joseph for sending us this checkbook - it's a visual reminder of my faith, and to see the fruits of His goodness when we believe with a childlike faith. Thank you Bro. Joseph, and most of all, thank You Jesus!!
