Day 3: Monday 31 October 2011
My next engagement was with Bro Allison Mbatha who is the VGR Zulu translator and pastor of a group of 30 believers situated in the area of Mtubatuba. I was, however, unable to visit Bro Allison at his Church but arranged to meet him at a convenient place where he was given his allocation (as below) of the Material:
• 8 Family packs of Zulu books
• 30 Zulu Hebrew books
• 3 Zulu Mp3 sets
• 10 Zulu Oppossum books
• 10 Zulu Footprints books
We fellowshipped a little while and I was glad to hear how gracious the Lord had been to him in restoring his health. Bro Allison had been through great pain and suffering, especially in the past year, which was caused by sugar diabeties but he is now making steady progress. This meeting with Brother Allison has also been a real eye opener for me in that I was able to see first hand (from the pictures that he had shown me) the dreadful effects of this disease.
I thereafter left to meet with another pastor who is located in Monzi Village, approximately 15 km from the town of St Lucia. Pastor Calvin shepherds a flock of 400 believers. He also has another 5 pocket groups in the surrounding areas, but they all gather together at the Monzi Tabernacle on Sundays. He was extremely grateful for the provisions that have been made possible by VGR and expressed his gratitude both verbally and via text, which reads as follows:
“Dear Bro Ronnie, thank you again for the material you sent up North.
God bless everyone for their efforts.”
The following material was allocated to this group of believers:
• 32 family packs of Zulu books
• 5 Zulu Mp3 sets
• 1 MP3 players
• 50 Zulu Opossum books
• 50 Zulu Footsteps Of The Prophet books
Day 4: Tuesday 1 November 2011
Weather was extremely bad. I had intended to visit a few pastors, but the meeting had to be cancelled due to the poor road conditions caused by the rains. Returned home that night at 8pm.
Day 5: Wednesday 2 November 2011
Rest Day
Day 6: Thursday 3 November 2011
Returned to the office. That evening, however, I arranged to attend a service with Pastor Andile Kosani who has two fellowships, one at Lamontville and the other at Shakaskraal (approx. 40km from Durban). Both groups comprise 90 believers.
I visited the group based at Lamontville (15km from Durban). These groups have recently being born as a result of Pastor Kosani being relocated to Durban from Port Elizabeth.
Pastor Kosani gave an excellent introduction to his people of the important role being played by VGR and its relevance with regards to promoting the Message of the hour. He also shared a powerful testimony of how someone had found a Message book in a dump and today he a pastor of a Message group in the Western Cape.
After distributing the material to his people, he repeatedly expressed his thanks and appreciation for the thoughtfulness of VGR and those around the world.
The following material was handed over to Pastor Kosani for the congregations:
• 33 family packs of Zulu books
• 5 Zulu MP3 sets
• 1 MP3 Player
• 1 English Lighthouse package
• 25 Zulu Opossum books
• 25 Zulu Footsteps books
Day 7: Sunday 6 November 2011
Finally I visited another church, located in one of the buildings in Central Durban, with a congregation of about 120 believers. The uniqueness of this group is that it comprises a mix of French and Zulu speaking believers. It is astounding to learn that some of these French believers who came here into South Africa as refugees were able to quickly learn the Zulu language and witness to the Zulu people in their own language. It is very evident that God has blessed the Congolese believers with a gift for soul outreach, irrespective of where they are in the world.
The following material were provided to this group of believers:
• 72 family packs of French books
• 30 family packs of Zulu books
• 5 French MP3 sets
• 2 Zulu MP3 sets
• French tracts
• 100 CTV magazines
The believers have all personally requested that I convey to Brother Joseph Branham and the VGR team their sincere appreciation for providing them with the much needed Manna. They maintain that God is truly mindful of their needs and VGR is God’s ordained channel for meeting this need. Dieu bénisse (God bless).
CONCLUSION
It is always the greatest of pleasure to be in the service of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as a co-worker in the VGR team. Although the challenges are great on the mission field, the Lord has always seen us through. I am truly humbled when I think of what our prophet had to endure in his travel seven times around the world. Coming from the catering background, I feel the Lord has removed me from the natural field to the spiritual field to cater for His Bride. I am happy to fulfill this role in which He has placed me. My thanks and appreciation goes to Brother Joseph Branham and all at VGR staff at Jeff and believers around the world for the love and support given to us as we serve the Lord on the field.
God bless,
Brother Ronnie Pillay
