Here not long ago, when I was standing in Durban, South Africa, after the journey down through there, thousands and thousands had been converted. We finally gathered up to that great final meeting at Durban. That day, I will never forget it. When we was all gathered there, the mayor come take me down to this city, out of the city out there. And for three city blocks, back from the race track, was seats lined up, the people setting. And I looked for a city block this side of the grand stand out in here, or more, was people lined up. And they had a little place built, plumb back the other side of the race course. Just as far as you could see this way, or that way, was people.

In 1951, Brother Branham held meetings in Durban, South Africa that awakened thousands upon thousands in that country to the power of Jesus Christ in our day. Healings, miracles, and salvation of multitudes of people were all the fruits of what is considered the greatest meetings ever held there. So great was the visit that a book entitled, “A Prophet Visits South Africa” was published describing many of the works of God that took place during those meetings.
And even today, the results of those meetings are still having an effect. Currently VGR has 15 employees (not including translators) and five offices throughout South Africa (Durban, Kimberley, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Nelspruit) that serve the Bride of Christ there.
Most have since passed on that attended the Durban meetings, but some are still with us to share what they witnessed at the racetrack in Durban. Bob Trench was one of the organizers of the meetings in Durban. This video testimony of Mr. Trench was taken at the VGR office in Durban, South Africa a few years back with our Brother Ronnie Pillay (who has since went on to be with the Lord).
