The Little Things

We love to hear these testimonies. It’s not every day that the Lord miraculously heals us from a disease or delivers us from grave danger, but IT IS every day that He does little things to remind us that He loves us.

The Lord answered this sister's prayer in an unexpected way. He showed that He cares about everything going on in our lives, from the little things, to the big things, and even the middle-size things!

I read the testimony of the brother who had lost his dorm key, and it was such an encouragement to me. As I was cleaning my kitchen that morning I thought, "Lord, I'd sure love to have a testimony to share and to give you, Lord, all the glory." The Lord is so kind and answered my prayer in a big way that very day.

We travel a lot with our work, and we go to small towns all over South Dakota. We were pulling our heavily-loaded fifth wheel (trailer) down a lonely, two-lane road to a remote job about four hours from our home.

As we were going up a steep hill, our truck lost power. By the time we reached the top of the hill, we were hardly doing 5 mph. We pulled over to see what was wrong. My husband was thinking maybe the transmission was slipping.

After a few minutes we started out again, but we couldn't get the truck to go over 20 mph. The engine light came on. We started out again and limped along for a few more miles, but could not gain any speed. I’m ashamed to say, but I began to think, "We're in the middle of nowhere, What are we going to do?”

It will take hours for a tow truck to come and get us, not to mention, we'll need two tow trucks, one for the truck and one for the camper. Then I remembered my prayer that morning. I was a little sheepish as I told my husband what I had prayed. We pulled over again and I took my hankie out that Brother Branham prayed for at the Seals meetings at the Tabernacle this year. I placed it on the dash board and my husband said, "Let's pray."

We finished praying, he started the truck and pressed the gas and we were off! No more problems, except the engine light stayed on. Two weeks later was the soonest my husband could get the truck to the dealer.

Before the technician got in the truck, the engine light went off and when he searched the truck's computer codes they could find no record of any problems. So, that's my testimony and may the Lord Jesus Christ receive all the glory and praise. Not only did He fix our truck and saved us from waiting for hours on the side of the road for a tow truck, He didn't allow our tight job schedule to get wrecked AND He gave us an opportunity to share how loving and thoughtful He is.

So glad and humbled and grateful that I can say, I'm one of them!!
