The Greatest Witness - Brother Billy Paul Branham

Brothers and Sisters,

One of God’s great battle-scarred Generals has just passed on to his Heavenly Home. Our beloved Brother Billy Paul Branham, 88, passed away on October 19, 2023, at 3:33 am, of natural causes due to his age.

All believers around the world knew Brother Billy Paul, and likely have a personal testimony of how he has touched their lives in some way. It would be impossible to express in words the tremendous impact that Brother Billy’s life has had on the Bride of Christ around the world.

One thing we can rest assured of today, is our brother and friend is in the presence of our Lord Jesus, standing as a young man in the Place that Brother Branham was able to visit and tell us about, just beyond the curtain of time. There is no doubt that Brother Billy’s dad, his buddy and chum, Brother Branham, was waiting there at the River, down by the evergreen trees, to lead him through the shady green pastures of his new Home, and said, “Come walk with me.” Oh, what great rejoicing there is just beyond the veil today, my friends.

There has never been a greater witness of the Power of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus, than Brother Billy. He was born into the family of the mighty seventh angel messenger, who was both father and mother to him as a child. Throughout his life, he saw more wonders and miracles of God than any other witness that ever walked the earth. He was often in the divine presence of the Angel of the Lord, and was even permitted to see the Angel standing in the corner of a hotel room, looking, moving, watching the prophet. He was trustworthy to assist Brother Branham in the campaigns at an early age, by handing out prayer cards; and then he was given the sacred responsibility to tap Brother Branham on the side when he’d had all he could take in the discernment lines. He physically carried the prophet out of the services to his car, when he became so weak he couldn’t walk. He was Brother Branham’s personal chauffer to meetings around the country, and around the world. He hunted and fished, and fellowshipped around the campfire with Elijah the prophet, the great lover of the wilderness.

At the passing of his father, he continued his services unto the Lord, as he dedicated the rest of his life to spread the Message of the hour around the world. He kept his position that Brother Branham placed him in, as secretary and treasurer of the Branham Tabernacle, and became president of the William Branham Evangelistic Association (WBEA), which Brother Branham founded. Since 1981, he worked beside his brother, Brother Joseph Branham, and played an integral role to provide the Message in over 70 languages around the world, as vice president of Voice Of God Recordings (VGR). He was incredibly faithful to fulfill his duties at VGR, WBEA, and the Branham Tabernacle, rarely ever missing a day of work, and working most weekends also, until days before he passed on into Glory. Thank you, Brother Billy, for such a tremendous dedication to all the offices in which God called you to.

He spoke in multiple countries around the world, sharing testimonies that touched our hearts in such a special way, and boosted our faith in the Word. Truly, our brother could testify in the like words of Saint John,

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

As long as we live on earth, his incredible testimonies, and his precious, dedicated life, will never die nor be forgotten.

Brother Branham said,

He’s had been my buddy. He stuck by me.

Some of them always fussed at me, “Why you got Billy with you?”

If you’d only knowed how I packed that boy on my arm when he was a suckling baby, without a mother. I kept his bottle under my head at night, with no fire in the house to keep his bottle warm, and fed him. He’s been my pal, all the way along. We’re going to die that way, if God willing.

God thought it, Brother Branham spoke it, we believe it, and that settles it. Brother Billy, we know this quote has now been fulfilled. You were his “pal, all the way along...”, and you have reunited with your pal today, praise the Name of our Lord Jesus. We thank God for your life, our dear brother, and dear friend.

Thank you for your precious service and faithfulness for God’s prophet, and your service to us also, the Bride of Christ. We are rejoicing in our hearts today as a precious saint has received his reward; for Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

As a tribute to his life, we would like to open a webpage for you to include a typed out testimony about Brother Billy Paul, and/or pictures you would like to share of Brother Billy. A link for typing a testimony, sending pictures, and/or to sponsor an Agapao tablet, in lieu of flowers, are at the bottom of this page. We will post at least a portion of them at a later time.

The family has decided on a private ceremony with family members only. Out of respect towards the Branham family, we request that you PLEASE do not come by the church, the funeral home, or the gravesite on the day of the funeral. Please let the family have this needed time of commemoration together with each other, in privacy.

Friends, we know the Coming of the Lord is so very near. We pray that Brother Billy’s call Home will not discourage you, but may it encourage us all today, as we reflect on the life of a true and faithful servant of God. For truly, lives of great men all remind us, we can make our lives sublime, and departing leave behind us, footprints on the sands of time.

Brother Billy, we will miss you greatly, but we promise we will uphold the Message of the hour with all our hearts, which you gave your life for. We’ll work ‘til Jesus Comes…until we meet again.
