Standing On The Promise

1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:1-5

I was diagnosed with a leukemia/lymphoma cancer 5 ½ years ago. It's a cancer that always shows up in your blood work, but can go into remission. In 2012 and 2013 the doctor said I had to have chemotherapy. I kept saying, “By your stripes I am healed,” and claiming God’s promises.

After the chemo the cancer went into remission until a few months ago. The blood work was worse than ever. The doctor thought I needed chemotherapy again, but the CT scan came back better than he thought it would, so he said, “Maybe in January or February.”

On December 13th, we had Communion and Foot Washing (at the Branham Tabernacle in Jeffersonville). Brother Joseph said when you take this you are healed. I believed and it went straight to my heart and anchored it there. It was the “Word,” and though He never said when, just like Abraham, I waited and trusted Him.

My next appointment was December 18th. I had my blood test and waited in the doctor’s office for the results. The doctor stuck his head in the room and said, “What have you been doing? This is weird, you are normal, but you are going to take another test and I am going to make sure it is your blood and not someone else’s."

We told him we have been in a revival, and I believe in healing. And he said, “Yes and I am a saint, Saint Thomas, the doubter.” He brought the nurse in to take my blood work again, and watched the nurse very closely. He wanted to make sure it was my blood and not someone else’s. He had the label with my name on it and waited for the results. Well, it came back even a little bit better than the first test.

So he said, "You know what? I do believe in healing, but I am a doctor and I have to know the reason why. He said, "You have sinus trouble, which probably activated your immune system, and maybe that is why."

All I can say is if sinus trouble cures cancer, every cancer patient needs a sinus condition. We were praising God when leaving the office, while the doctor was still confused.

Still praising Him for all He does for us.
