Are We Alone?

So often the enemy tells us that we are alone. Our families may be gone or out in the world. Our friends may have forsaken us. It may seem that the entire world is against us. But remember, we have a promise:

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 14:17

That promise is enough for all of us, but the Lord Jesus has made life a little easier by giving us one another. We may not see each other in person and we may never speak here on earth, but we are tied together by prayer and by the Holy Ghost.

Brother Joel Paramanandam, VGR office manager in Madras, received this letter from a dear old sister somewhere in a village of India. She represents thousands of believers around the world who are depending on us to lift them up in prayer.

Dear Brother,

Warm greetings in the precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. May His glory and His presence always be with you all.

Brother, I would like to thank you and all the brothers and sisters in Christ for keeping me in prayer. You know something, I thought that you’d forgot me, but when I received your letter, I became so happy by reading the letter, I was filled with joy. Now I know that I have brothers and sisters in Christ, and I would like to thank my brothers and sisters for keeping me in prayer.

I have also received Message books. I pray that God gives me grace, courage, strength, wisdom, and knowledge to grow more and more in His Word, and to believe the special promises He has given to us. Brother, I had a job, just for few months, and lost that job. Please pray that God gives me a good job, a home, and good health taking away all complication of sickness in my life, and salvation for my children’s souls.

You know brother, ever since my family left me, and now at this old age, I always felt lost and lonely, but after receiving your letter and the Message books you sent me, and after reading the Message books, it has given me a new life. I know I am not alone anymore. I have my sisters and brothers somewhere in the world praying for me, and most of all, Jesus is with me.

Brother, I wanted a big picture of Jesus, and a handkerchief Brother Branham gave to the sick people (prayer cloth). Please can I have one? I also request you to send me books Seven Church Ages, Seven Seals, and Adoption.

Brother, once more I would like to thank you, my sisters and brothers in Christ, for keeping me in prayer me too. I am keeping you all in my daily prayer...

Sister Margaret
