Still Speaking

7 But in the days of the voice...

Revelation 10:7

How many times have we said, “That can’t be 50 years ago.” It seems each message we hear is more current than today’s news. It's just as alive today as the moment it was spoken by God’s servant; just as powerful, and just as much for His people today than it has ever been. One thing believers rely on so much is that when they listen to one of Brother Branham's sermons, he will probably address something that is on their heart right now. Once again, this is a testimony of that happening.

This sister took hold of her chance, and believed when it was her opportunity to have her request answered. God’s stored up Food is eternal and it is timeless, as we will see in this sister’s testimony.

...One evening I was so burdened over one of my children as I had noticed she was changing a bit and was segregating herself from the rest of the family. As a mother I quickly noticed it. To confirm this we received a call from her school that all was not well with our child. So my feelings were confirmed. Then the burden grew and I felt I should talk to my Maker about it. That day everybody went to sleep and I had my time with the Lord as the burden grew bigger and unbearable. So after prayer and everything I decided to iron her clothes, but praying for each garment that each time she wore it, the Spirit of the Lord will work on her tender heart.

So it was getting around 3 AM and I was getting to be weary... Then I decided to wind off everything by listening to a tape Message, then sleep maybe for one or so hours. It was very quiet, my husband soundly sleeping, then I just grabbed a tape. I did not bother to check for the title but it was those older brown cassette tapes. So when it began to play, I realized it was part 2 then I thought of removing it, but the Holy Ghost made me to continue as I realized also that I needed one for a short time I had, and finish it together with my ironing.

As soon as I heard the voice of the prophet I got revived, I was very attentive, got some strength and could not understand what was happening. So the time I started, Brother Branham was having his prayer line and then he (talked to a lady who had a burden for her children.) I almost leaped. Then he continued, "Your name is Sister Leggs." I immediately stopped the cassette and said, "What is happening in this room? Did I hear well or I am just imagining things?" I rewinded the cassette and heard the same words and I almost froze. You might wonder why, the translation of my name (Tsoka) in English means legs. Halleluiah! I quickly joined the prayer line and said, “Lord that is me.” I was now listening to everything that the prophet was saying and felt this was just meant for me and it was again confirmed to me that Brother William Marrion Branham was a man sent from God.

Sister Dorcas Tsoka

Now before the prophet prayed for all these people he reminded them of Dorcas and mentioned my name 3 times Wow!!! I almost collapsed. This is my first name. Halleluiah. The burden immediately left and knew I had found favour in the eyes of the Lord for I had not planned to take that particular Message. I had to check for the title afterwards and this sermon was preached 1963 (the year I was born). Halleluiah, as I don't believe its coincidence. The message title is 63-1130E preached 11 days before I was born.

God bless you saints,

Sister Dorcas Tsoka

Sister Dorcas is special to us here at VGR because she has been with us for a long time. Here is a little more about her, written by one of the brothers at our Zimbabwe office:

Sis Dorcas started working for the Voice of God Recordings - Zimbabwe Office in June of 1985 when she became the second employee, joining Brother Gordon Tutani who had started a month earlier. At this time the office was located at a house facility in a residential area of the capital, Harare.

After a year VGR moved to a town office where sis Dorcas continued her responsibilities faithfully, working as a receptionist and typist. Being someone with a very pleasant personality and a steadfast Christian, it was not difficult for Sis Dorcas to handle the heavy traffic of believers from the different churches and curious non-believers into the reception area.

The early years were not rosy but the small staff soldiered on in fulfilling the call to serve the Bride. Sis Dorcas' commitment and gallantry, made it easier for Brother Gordon to travel round the country visiting churches and opening up new libraries, seed libraries, and doing the general updates. When Brother Gordon began traveling outside the borders of Zimbabwe and abroad, Sister Dorcas held the fort on the home turf.

For close to twenty years she stood faithful and worked tirelessly at her post of duty in the small town office, with the help of a few volunteers before they moved into the newly built offices in 2005.

She has ever remained an integral part of the work; very helpful and appreciated by believers from all walks of life. With the advent of the new offices and more employees coming on board, she then assumed the role of secretary at which she continues to labor.

Sister Dorcas grew up in a family which attended a denominational Presbyterian Church. She received the message in 1978 at a school where Brother Godwin Chitsinde came to preach the Message, harvesting some of the first batch of believers in Zimbabwe.

Because of her testimony and faithfulness, Sister Dorcas was able to influence her parents and some of her family members and relatives to embrace the Message. She has a great testimony among believers. In her spare time she enjoys doing wedding decors and she is an expert at that.

She is married to Brother Golden Tsoka and they have three wonderful daughters who all serve the Lord. The two older ones are in University and the youngest is in High School.

The Zimbabwe Office is privileged to have Sister Dorcas as part of the VGR team.
