He Knows

This life is full of trials. Sometimes these trials are small and easy to overcome, others devastate us and make our lives almost impossible to continue. However, we know that God knows all things and that He allows these trials for His Divine purpose. But even through the trials, the Lord still speaks to us with His love and encouragement. There are many different ways to hear that Voice, not the least of those ways is through the prophet of Malachi 4. The apostle Paul said, "...we know that all things work together for good to them that love God..." We don't know why this sister endured this experience, but one of those reasons is surely to encourage all of us who are reading her testimony today.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I've had on my heart to write up a testimony of a situation and how the Lord not only healed me physically, but also gave me much needed comfort through His Word after the situation.

In late summer/early fall of 2016, my husband and I found out we were expecting our fifth child, due around Easter 2017. (The sister goes on to tell of her devastating miscarriage).

A friend from Georgia called not too long after the miscarriage, asking if she and her family, along with an elderly couple that had been in Brother Branham's meetings but hadn't been to Jeffersonville in a while, could come stay with us so they could go to service at the Branham Tabernacle. I talked to my husband and said yes. A day or two before they were due to arrive in town, my husband talked to me and pointed out how I was still weak and had little energy, and he felt it would be too much on me for us to have company.

So I called my friend, who was very understanding. They decided to come up anyways and just stay at a hotel. They came over the evening they arrived in town for a little bit for fellowship. The elderly couple was with them, and the brother brought me the sermon book when he was present to hear Brother Branham preach, along with a prayer cloth.

I pinned the cloth to my underneath garment as Brother Branham instructed, needing healing from my anemia. I was still losing blood (because of the miscarriage) and eventually had no choice but to go in for minor surgery. The doctor wanted me to go in for iron infusions, putting iron directly into my veins via IV to get my levels up, but I didn't want to do that. Instead, I was taking natural supplements to build back up my iron levels, still wearing the prayer cloth and waiting on my healing to be manifested.

One Wednesday night during service at the Tabernacle, my toddler was acting up so I took her to sit in the car in the parking lot and continued listening in to the service from there (on the radio transmission). At the end, Brother Branham prayed for a woman with a blood issue. I had told myself through this process that if I heard Brother Branham pray for someone with a blood issue, that I would be healed. Praise the Lord! I didn't need those infusions as God had healed me sitting in the back parking lot of the Branham Tabernacle.

As with a lot of women that miscarry babies, I hit times where I would get down and depressed, wanting my baby boy. I had just had a couple of days like this when my husband woke up before me one morning and turned a Message on while we were still in bed. I heard something on the tape that woke me. I asked my husband what Message he had turned on and then reached for my phone to pull it on the Table App to read. This is the quote I had heard:

So when we got up there, the man was a very hard character, and I didn’t think he believed anything. And he had just lost a baby a few nights before that, a stillborn baby. So, we went hunting. And on the second day, the man I was hunting with had told him, said I get to hunt everywhere around the country. So when the other hunter, was with me, had left, we were way in top of peaks; where we just run a lion, till we got him into the rocks, and he had got away. And so we were sitting there waiting for the dog to return. And this man said to me, he said, “The other hunter, your friend, tells me that you get to hunt everywhere. You got plenty of money?” Said, “I guess it’s none of my business.”

And I said, “No,” I said, “it isn’t plenty of money.” I said, “I—I’m sponsored.”

And he said, “Oh, I see.” He said, “Well, I guess it’s none of my business again, but,” said, “are you with a firm that sponsors you?”

He was pulling it right out of me. I promised I wouldn’t, see. So I said, yeah, I said, “No, sir. I’m a preacher, a missionary.”

He said, “A what?”

I said, “Missionary.” And he just stood and looked at me for a few minutes.

I said, “Do you have any hope for Life hereafter? What is your hope?”

He said, “I’m a Jack Mormon.”

And I said, “A what?”

He said, “A Jack Mormon.”

I said, “What kind is that?”

Said, “The one that swears and drinks coffee, and smokes cigarettes.”

I said, “Well, an honest confession is good for the soul.”

And then he said—he said, “I want to ask you something.” He said, “I am told that the Mormon church is the only true church there is.” He said, “Do you believe that?”

I said, “When it comes to church, I guess it’s as good as any of them. I only know one Truth, and that’s Jesus Christ.” I said, “I know He is True.”

“Well,” he said, “I had a baby born the other night, stillborn.” He said, “I am told that this baby, because it was stillborn, God never did breathe the breath of life into it, that I’ll never see it again.” He said, “What do you think about that?”

“Well,” I said, “You won’t as a Jack Mormon, you sure won’t. That’s one thing sure, you won’t see it as long as you stay a Jack Mormon.” And he said…Well, he had been pushing me, so I push him back a little bit, you see. We had—had time to push back. So he said—he said…I said, “What’s the matter?”

He said, “Oh, I don’t know.” And he said, “Well, what do you think?”

I said, “I am acquainted with many fine…”

I didn’t know he was a Mormon. And I was a very…I know, being it in Utah, it probably was, but I… ’cause most the people up there are Mormon, around Salt Lake City. This wasn’t Salt Lake City, however. So I thought, “Well, I’ve had some fine Mormon friends, been in the prayer lines, fine people.”

And I said, “I have met some very fine man who are—are Mormons.” And he said, well, he said…I said, “I don’t know their teaching on that, and I wouldn’t want to say something contrary to their teaching, because that’s what you are, and I respect that highly.” And I said, “Well, and you believe that?”

He said, “Yes, sir, I do. But,” said, “I don’t live to it.”

I said, “Well, I believe that the Bible teaches that God knew that baby, millions of years ago, before the foundation of the world.” I said, “God told Jeremiah, ‘Before you was ever conceived in your mother’s womb, before you ever was come forth from the belly, I knew you, sanctified you, and ordained you a prophet to the nations.’” I said, “That’s how much He knew about it, see.”

He said, “Well,” he said, “thank you.”

He started walking down the hill.

65-0426 Proving His Word

It was such needed comfort to hear the prophet give that assurance that I would see my baby boy again. Even when His answer is "No," (to my prayer that I wouldn't lose the baby), He gives us what we need to get through our circumstances.
