In Him, I Trust

But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.

Psalm 31:14

We've heard the saying, "We live in the world, but we are not of the world." This young brother did his best to keep himself from the world, and the Lord honored his efforts by giving him a testimony that will be read by thousands of people around the world.

I would like to share how our good Lord gave me another chance in life.

The company, which I work for here in the Philippines, had just included me to be one of its three employees who will be temporarily assigned to a project in Indonesia. When I received news that we were to leave for Indonesia on February 27, I asked my brothers and sisters at the Laguna Endtime Tabernacle in San Pedro Laguna to include me in prayer for my trip.

The nature of my work requires me to travel often and I always entrust everything to the Lord in a family prayer before I leave, but that early Tuesday morning was something different; I felt some unease and hesitation.

It was more than a two-hour drive to the airport, I guess the driver was trying to get as comfortable as possible and decided to play some worldly music.

So, I plugged in my earphones and played some hymnal songs. Not long after I fell asleep in the car, I was awaken up by a swaying feeling. I realized the car was turning around and around uncontrollably, and it turned turtle three times before hitting a tree which caused the car to stop.

There were four of us in the car: the driver, an office mate who sat in the front seat, another one sat behind the driver seat, and I was sitting at the back of the front seat. Our driver, who fell asleep while driving, was thrown out of the car to about 65 feet away.

My other office mate who was sitting at the front seat was sprawled in the backseat, and two of my companions were rushed to the hospital seriously injured. I was the only one totally unhurt, not even a scratch. Praise the Lord! I really felt bad for some of my companions had to be operated due to some injuries, but overall the Lord has been so gracious, as all of them didn’t have to stay long in the hospital.

He is truly our Protector. He is always there whenever we are in need of Him. My family and everyone at the office were in awe to think of how anyone could survive that accident totally unhurt. Oh, I just love Him.

When I reported back to the office, I didn’t even have to testify of the miracle that God wrought in my life that day. My workmates themselves spoke glowingly of God’s ever abiding presence upon His people, as they themselves had witnessed the changes in me since I received this Message of God’s prophet for our day.

God bless you.
