I thoroughly enjoyed the quote of the day Friday (quote posted at the top of this page). I enjoy it every day, but this quote was special to me. Before another sister and I went out secondhand shopping, we stopped in the car and prayed together asking the Lord to let us be the Bible that people see and to supply our needs.
At the store, rock and roll from the 60’s was playing. Elvis Presley and Bob Dillon were ruining our day. I could hear my friend loudly humming a Christian song a few aisles over trying hard to drown out the music. I was just about to go and ask the management to change the music when a loud crash happened and someone started screaming, “Christine!”
I headed that direction to see an elderly worker in terrible shape on the floor. Her eyes were rolling around and she wasn’t breathing right. I quickly laid my hands on her and silently started praying for her. I felt the other sister also lay her hands on the woman. As we waited for the ambulance to come, we continued to lay hand on her and she slowly came to. I am trained as registered nurse, but haven’t been actively working for some time. I wasn’t thinking on those skills, I just wanted to keep hands on her remembering what the scripture says about laying on of hands.
When she was awake and aware, we talked to her and the other workers about how the Lord was watching over her. She acknowledged that the Lord was there. I noticed that there was no more music playing in the store. When we returned to our shopping, I heard the music turn back on to the Christian station. A song about Jesus started playing. Although it isn’t our type of Christian music, I knew that we were the Bible Brother Branham was talking about in the quote.
